'14 TN DB Todd Kelly Jr. (UT Signee 2/5/14)

So Racean "Rock" Thomas says he's open but Bama fans say he's a Bama lock. And could care less.

Marlon Humphrey says he's open to everyone. Bama legacy player at a position of need but everyone believes he's a Bama lock everywhere.

TKjr. is a Tennessee Legacy, stays in Knoxville, comes to every home game, dad is a Vol legend, plays a position of need, but our fans believe him when he says he's open.

Never ceases to amaze me. Some of our own fans are pitiful.......Even after the way Ryan Jenkins flipped to UT as soon as he was offered. Wonder why? Maybe because he was a lifelong Vol fan the same way Kelly is.

"Then why doesn't he commit already? He either A: Isn't that good or B: Butch has not offered him yet and may not. Bottom line is the kid wants to play football. If he isn't SEC material I wouldn't offer him a spot. So that kid can either walk-on or go to another school that he will get a shot to play."

UH...LOL

Isnt it funny how you dont copy my whole post just only part of it to try and prove a point, but in doing so you leave the rest of the post that says if he is all vol and wants to play for us no matter what, then it will be known and he will commit soon.

That is all he had to post because everybody has seen how dumb this was.

Apparently you missed the post where he tweeted out that hes gonna make the best decision for him. Take it how ever you want. The vols may not be leading for this kid right now, and a few people on here just don't understand it. It sucks but it is what it is. Dont get mad bra.

Nah I ain't mad. I just know if any kid is a lock it is Todd Kelly Jr. Plus the fact that CBJ has made him the top priority for this class should tell anybody.

Somebody should post the pics from the front page of this thread for anybody that doesn't think he's a Vol.

I have a gut feeling TKjr won't be coming. I read some of his tweets and it seems to me he doesn't care about being a legacy at Tennessee. Maybe it's just me...... I want him and all the other legacys in the 2014 class

You lost me at tweets. Anyone trying to access where a kid is going to go to college based on tweets is going to drive themselves insane. TK will be a Vol as long as we show some decent progress on defense in the fall and the extreme negativity of the fan base doesn't return to 2012 levels. jmo

Let it go son...just let it go. I posted where you said he either wasn't good enough or didn't have an offer. You were very definitive in your comments. I found it utterly rediculous which is my god given right. You continue to make a fool of yourself which is your god given right. It is what it is son...move on.

I believe this kid will end up a Vol, but you can't say affirmatively that we lead. We have not put a good product on the field in a few years. Our head coach and DC, who I really like, do not have a long standing track record of putting out NFL quality guys. While I believe they have the ability to do so, it would be hard for these kids not to explore these other schools like Bama, LSU, Clemson, FLA, etc. who have had more recent success. While a good portion of these kids will take advantage of the education, most of these top recruits are interviewing for the opportunity to play on Sunday. It is hard, no matter your affiliations with a particular school, not to look from a business stand point when in comes to the schools these kids choose.

The coaches have to show that they're more capable than the last and maybe pull an upset or two this year, but they're gonna have to convince these guys that elite players r the only thing that's gonna get UT back to winning consistently in this league.

The players are gonna have to put that responsibility on themselves, and not just depend on the upper class-men to take them there at other schools.. Guys like bell that just wanna go along with the ride aren't coming here right now..

We need elite players with confidence in themselves to put that weight on them.

Last four or five years will do that to a fan base. Many don't feel like there are any reasons a recruit would choose TN, even a Vol legacy.
