'14 TN DB Todd Kelly Jr. (UT Signee 2/5/14)

Very strange that Brent Hubbs of VQ says UT has offered Kelly Jr. long ago. Because Kelly Jr. certainly seems under the impression that he doesn't have an offer.

With Kelly, Jr. yes. They offered long ago.
-Brent Hubbs.

Sounds like it's one of those deals where the coaches are like you already know you've got an offer from us. Do we really need to tell you?

Recruiting game is Hollywood as hell right now. I feel that a lot of this stuff is overblown like hell.

I have mixed emotions about these '14 kids. On one hand it is really early. On the other hand...how hard can it be for Dooley to reach out to these guy's fathers? They are lettermen for goodness sake.

Who knows....

Thing is you have to be able to walk in these Alumni houses and convince them you are taking this program in the right direction. We may say that we've forgotten the UK loss but the former players aren't playing about that loss. He's got to prove it on the field.

I don't want to pretend that I have any idea whether or not Dooley has reached out these lettermen. I don't think he has to start wining before he tries to connect with them. Maybe he already has. If he hasn't he should. It is as simple as that for me. The minute Todd Kelly got his offer from the Barn, Dooley should have been on the phone to his daddy.

I'm not talking about wait until he wins to sell something but for the guys that take the Vol program personally the Kentucky loss was ridiculous. He's been recruiting the Kelly kid already though. I'm more worried about the Berry boys than Kelly. I personally feel all three can or will be five stars. We can and should lock them down with some winning seasons.

I agree that if Dooley can inspire a little confidence it will go a long way with all three recruits.

Okay, seriously...wth is going on with the recruitment of all these 2014 kids? Hubbs says they've been offered, which is info I'm assuming comes from the UTAD. If this is true, then the recruits are either 1) misinformed or 2) misinforming. What's the deal? This is the second time in about a month that this has come up with respect to legacy recruits. Something smells here...and it bears a striking similarity to the scent of negative recruiting. Just a thought.

I should add that the stench is wafting this way from the general direction of the towel-waving, chest-bumping fool who lives in a barn.

if you really worry about anyone..you worry about Bama because his sister goes to school there and is a cheerleader for the Tide....

still with that being side....anything other than Tennessee would be an upset..

Thats from Carlos Younger on Vq who is involved with all the top prospects in Tennessee.

He is in my grade and he ive know him forever, we play football against each other and yes he is a beast haha but I think if offered hes VFL!

Yeah he was but my other friend is also a DB and his dad played in the NFL and for UT Terry Mcdaniel. Watch out for his son Isaiah Mcdaniel!

Remember Terry McDaniel well. Very fast and had a great career in the NFL. What year in school is his son?

I put this in Bells thread a few days ago but being able to get Randolph, McNeil, Bell, & Kelly in consecutive classes would be SICK!!!
