'14 TN DB Todd Kelly Jr. (UT Signee 2/5/14)

At this point, all that matters is we all want this guy to end up in Orange. That's one thing everyone can agree on. Arguing about whether he is a lock or not is just plain stupid.

A moment of clarity. But we gotta talk about something for the next 2 weeks...else get to all those chores we been puttin off. And nobody wants that.

I dont think he's a Tennessee lock by any means, especially when you have one family member pushing hard for a certain school and the former Vol in the family isn't. We'll see how it plays out but he's a national recruit, nothing would surprise me especially where Tennessee currently is as a program. This could be Andrew Jelks all over again.

Not even close. Andrew Jelks' thread died fast. TK2' thread will never die. that's like comparing steak to hamburger.

Haha, naw I just think we didn't offer the type
of cheer leading program that they have at Bama is the story begin that

Yeah, they have a competitive squad, or something to that effect, and we don't offer that sort of cheering.

At least that's what I remember reading previously.

"Kelly Sr. said he would love for his son, who has a 4.1 GPA, to go to Tennessee, but he wants him to decide on his own.

The recruiting battle is actually a little more complex than one might imagine, even at the Kelly home. The reason is that daughter Clarke made a new all-girls cheerleading squad that began at Alabama last year, and she is wanting her brother to play for the Crimson Tide.

Regardless, Kelly Sr. will continue cheering for the Vols, still staying connected with the program and passing along the lessons he learned.

"You should take advantage of your education and make good choices," he said. "A lot of times the choices you make in life are going to dictate your future."" - John Shearer

CNS wants TK Jr to play CB. TK Jr would "rather remain at Safety but is open to CB".

"The other in-state program of Vanderbilt also is high on Kelly’s radar in large part due to academics, an area that Kelly is very interested in.
“They really emphasize academics,” he said of Vanderbilt. “That’s the one things I really like about them. Coach (Bob) Shoop, the DB coach, he actually recruits me so he was able to talk to me about the position and I got to see how he coaches so it was pretty cool.” - Barton Simmons

"We told both of our kids that even though my wife and I went to Tennessee, we're going to support their decision," Kelly said.

TK Jr. said, "Some people might say, 'You might go where your dad goes,' or something like that. But with me knowing that he gives me that opportunity, it gives me no pressure where to go. I can just go to the right place that fits me." - ESPN

TKJr's sister goes to Alabama and is really, really pulling him that way. His dad isn't being as persuasive in pushing him towards UT.

I think it comes down to Bama, UT and Notre Dame.

His dad loves UT and CDD.. I'd be worried if CDD was fired... That might piss them off.

TK2 had good game tonight, Id say he had around 6-8 tackles. Pretty sure he had the only TD for Webb too.

Went and saw my alma mater play against Webb tonight. Forgot about TK being on the team. Didn't jump out at me, but then again Alcoa didn't throw much.

Yes when interviewed he said the whole family was going to watch his sister cheer and would be in Knoxville for the UF game.

We need to have a good showing next week to keep the momentum in the win column and to help with recruiting.
