The recruiting battle is actually a little more complex than one might imagine, even at the Kelly home. The reason is that daughter Clarke made a new all-girls cheerleading squad that began at Alabama last year, and she is wanting her brother to play for the Crimson Tide.
Regardless, Kelly Sr. will continue cheering for the Vols, still staying connected with the program and passing along the lessons he learned.

"The other in-state program of Vanderbilt also is high on Kellys radar in large part due to academics, an area that Kelly is very interested in.
They really emphasize academics, he said of Vanderbilt. Thats the one things I really like about them. Coach (Bob) Shoop, the DB coach, he actually recruits me so he was able to talk to me about the position and I got to see how he coaches so it was pretty cool. - Barton Simmons
"We told both of our kids that even though my wife and I went to Tennessee, we're going to support their decision," Kelly said.
TK Jr. said, "Some people might say, 'You might go where your dad goes,' or something like that. But with me knowing that he gives me that opportunity, it gives me no pressure where to go. I can just go to the right place that fits me." - ESPN
