'14 TN DB Rashaan Gaulden (UT Signee 2/5/14)

If you can't see that the elite programs in every conferences also lead those conferences in recruiting rankings I have a few words for you....,,,,

Happy Thanksgiving and have a Blessed Day!! Let's go eat!!

We're saying recruiting sites are a joke, because a group of intelligent posters from here could do the same thing. No one is disagreeing that winning the recruiting battle is important.

Like I said, it's very easy to pick out the game changers. The recruiting sites adjust their rankings to the teams pursuing the players. Obviously Leonard Fournette stands out because of his tape and offer list. It isn't hard to pick out the best ones.

I have admittedly been the big part of a number of issues that I fully understand and respect that some posters want to ignore but reading this one damn sure didn't hurt any poster.

Happy Thanksgiving!

I just did. USC and Texas have finished #1 the last 5 years in recruiting in conference and have 1 conference championship combined over that time.

They had each been in the bottom half of the conference multiple times in that span.

You need good coaching to go with it. Kiffin is a bonehead and Mack Brown hasn't been good since Muschump left. Head coach needs great coordinators. If I had to choose, I would take the great recruits. Part of the reason the Vols had trouble hiring a coach was they looked at the dumpster fire that was the roster left behind. Look at Auburn. Great recruits paired with a good coach: instant success. It helped that some of the players were recruited by Malzahn.

I've seen guys not play their senior year but they rank them high. I personally don't care seeing he's a big, aggressive, athletic, and rangy prospect at DB. I want Gaulden at CB and think he could be extremely special at the position. Reminds me a lot of former Buckeye Nate Clements with how physical he can be in the running game. And for the size concerns Clements was a 6'0 200lb CB. If you're good you won't outgrow the position.

This is what I mean by correlation does not mean causations. We can point out the best players in the country, and having them first is #1 priority. The guys on the recruiting websites know no more than people on this forum about football.

I could accept that if we spent our 40 hours a week evaluating football players on film and in person instead of creating pivot tables in Microsoft Excel.

Ok so everyone is saying they want this guys at CB does he has good man to man coverage? If he could develop some coverage skills I wouldn't mind having him at CB either he's a sure tackler.

He was locking people down at every camp he attended in the summer.

SN: Dee Milliner was horrid in man coverage when he first got to Bama. Joe Haden was terrible too. If the tools are there all the player has to be taught is how to use them. :)

But he's the best Safety in the country. He's not even the best corner on his high school team

New Rivals 100 comes out in 30 mins. Does he crack the list and get upgraded to the 5.9 or 6.0 level? I think he should, but would be hard bump a guy they haven't put on the top 250 so far all the way to the top 100. I don't remember that ever happening. He definitely has the talent and should be top 100, and I would love to see it.

Dewayne Hendrix made some of the biggest jumps I've ever seen.. He sits at 114 but jumped there from nowhere before his SR seaon.
