'14 TN DB Rashaan Gaulden (UT Signee 2/5/14)

Quite easily actually. He said "it takes time to develop DBs," I will agree with that. But that we need "explosive hitters" at LB. Qhich leads me to believe he doesn't think the DBs in the class are capable of being explosive.

.... Ahhhhhh...... Well umm, no comment.

Those 3 RB's were FR and SO in '98, Al's senior year so he was never competing with them for a possible RB spot. Maybe another group of guys but not those 3.

Never said he competed at RB. His confidence in his own ability was the point. Since he played RB in hs, reporter asked him where he would be on the depth chart compared to UT's great stable of RBs at the time. Confidently, Al Wilson said "Starter" even though he had not played a single down as a RB since hs. Sorry if my original post was not clear. :)

How does saying we need LBs that can hit translate to "we don't have any explosive DBs"?

IT was also told that Gaulden has Tennessee out front as his clear leader. On the other hand, good friend and four-star wide receiver Josh Malone has been much tougher to get a read on as he continues to pile up offers. Malone is said to have had a poker face during all of his visits to Knoxville while Gaulden has been much more open about his experiences at Tennessee.

Rashaan Gaulden - Still has the Vols on top and he really likes what's going on there right now. He's hearing from a lot of the other commitments right now. He'll be up for the O&W game in a few weeks.

It would be great if Gaulden went ahead and made the move to corner his last year in highschool because that is where he will play in college.

Gaulden has a very high ceiling at CB

Our secondary in three years could be the best we have had since Jason Allen's junior year if all these guys come here. I mean we are after some nasty players at DB.

Tennesse took over that camp

That's just him tweeting right, his twitter handle is the Uno thing.
I want him to commit!! Hopefully he meant Tennessee the University and not state. Even though Tennessee as a whole state would be nice, high school players getting a lot better there and surely that would help UT!
