'14 TN DB Rashaan Gaulden (UT Signee 2/5/14)

If you're saying their opinion doesn't mean anything because they didn't play DB, then idk what to say in return because that's just dumb.

It not comparing apples to apples... I could say that McCullers will be as good NT as C Patterson as WR.. I think a statement like that is retarded.... I guess you think it the same.. I consider that a YOU problem...

Morley was a CB coming out of HS. He could've played S so it's not like i'm comparing a DT to a WR.

Don't follow. So Swain, as a WR can't make a judgment about how good a guy playing DB is or can be? I don't get it.

So you're saying analogies are retarded?

Lol - yes.

Depends on the analogy. I don't see the analogy being two unrelated things. Eric Berry played CB in high school like Morley. Swain and Riggs have seen many great DBs they had to watch film on. Saying that all analogies are argument fallacy is an even bigger fallacy.....

I love the kids physical nature. He plays with no fear. Not only is he is a great athlete with great speed but he has excellent explosiveness and he uses that with how physical he plays. Excellent lateral quickness as well.

I've mentioned before that I think he could project as an even better cornerback prospect than safety. That is how good of a prospect I think he is.

I think he'll end up making a significant jump over time in the rankings. Didn't he miss much of his junior year or something like that?

He's has D.Miliner type potential on the corner. Gaulden is a much better CB prospect than safety. IMO

Not going to clutter a recruit's thread further or try to explain basic logic on a message board. You can use Google to see the error of your statement.

Dude, you've made way too much out of this. Here, try this: 2 really good football players said another really good football player was a.... really good football player. No analogies needed.

I could be mistaken, but I'm pretty sure I read he only played jv last year. Thats why all the mods and everyone expects him to have a huge jump once the season starts. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure its Gaulden who I'm thinking about.

I can see your comparison. He won't be able to come right in and contribute at cb because he will be learning a new position, but I love what he could do there. Give him a redshirt year and I think he will be an excellent cb. He projects well to the position

Totally agree with you and beakerboy. He seems to have very fluid hips and has just outstanding lateral quickness. I believe like both of you that he does project to be a cornerback

No redshirt needed, let him come in play special teams and compete. Create some competition for the older guys.

I think that is probably correct. I remember hearing something like that.

I said earlier in this thread that it wouldn't bother me if he ended up at vandy. My reason for saying that was, I was seeing the love being shown to him and I just didn't see why. That was before I knew that he was projected as a cb. I think he will make an excellent cb, I just wasn't seeing it at safety. I hope we get this guy and he balls out for us.
