For all the Nashville folks, tonight Independence (Vic and Gaulden's team) is playing Overton (Ugo Amadi's team) in the second round of the playoffs at Overton. Watching Amadi match up against these guys will be fun.

Evan was the state 100 and 200M champion in the state of Ga. I'd say that qualities him as elite and one of the best athletes in America out of HS.

Edit . Evan was the 5A champ running a 10.81 qualifier and 10.95 in the finals at a meet may 2-4 this year. There are 7 divisions in ga. 6 public... 1 thru 6 A and a 1A private school classification

I was only researching how it stacked up against other qualifications within that state. My link is showing his qualifying time as 4th fastest in the state. Ironically, he won a class 5A title running a slower 10.95, but it had wind as minus1.2 . I'm ignorant of track terminology so possibly that means a headwind?

I think that first part was the fastest times run this year. I looked for Clark and couldn't find him in the finals in any classification. In fact , Evan had the fastest time of all seven classifications if you believe ghsa, which you would think would be accurate. Clark's 10.5 was run in February. Didn't check Watkins and harden. If accurate, it would make Evan the fastest in ga during that finals meet this spring

What's so funny to me is that teams have got to be trying to run away from Gaulden, but there is no escaping. There could be a wide receiver screen to the other side of the field and Gaulden would make a tackle for a loss somehow.
