'14 TN DB Emmanuel Smith

Live in Nashville and my Vandy friends are saying sweat was cut by candy for camping elsewhere and Vandy wasn't to high on him

Sweat wasn't dropped for camping at Florida. He was dropped because he lied to our coaches about what he was doing. Kids camp in lots of places without issue.... but lying to the coach isn't a good way to keep your spot

Wonder why he felt like he had to lie..? Maybe he didnt want a penis headed grown man tweeting things about him. C'mon, Franklins a douche and its obvious

I figured he was dropped because jimmy wanted rustling and Sweat wouldn't oblige.

He is a backup plan anyway. Says he is definitely going to be a FS in college, but has mid 4.6 speed. I would take McDowell, Kelly, and Gaulden over Smith without a second thought.

The biggest perk for pulling E Smith is his brother, but Thig is recruiting LB's like a boss. If he can pull someone like Morgan, Garrett, Wilson, or Daub to go along with Bryant, Weatherd, Mouhon, and Bates, I am not worried about missing out on 1 LB.

Post more often. :)

Doesn't sound like he's really listening to other schools. I'd say this ship has sailed. With Kelly committed and several other great targets on the board at safety I'm not really concerned. Give us RaShaun Gaulden and call it a day.

“It doesn’t affect me,” Vanderbilt commitment and Oakland safety Emmanuel Smith said. “I’m 100 percent committed to Vandy. I talked to (fellow commitment) Bryce Lewis, and we’re reaching out and talking to other recruits. Everybody is still solid.

For now

A UT fan tweeted at him and he sent out a series of 3 tweets basically saying 41-18 and that college is about getting a degree and opening doors outside of Tennessee . If you notice his twitter handle says making my way out of Tennessee to Bigger places which has always worried me .

I hope someone tweeted back 28-2 or Doofusless

Top 5 selling points on why to go to Candy:

1. "Stadium is probably smaller than your HS so it won't be overwhelming to play there"
2. "Our criminal activity is on the rise if that is your thing"
3. "We have no tradition of winning so when we lose we won't be letting anyone down"
4. "There aren't many Vandy fans so you can pretty much go anywhere and not worry about getting hounded"
5. "If you are ever feeling down all you have to do is visit with Coach Franklin. He really knows how to cheer a guy up."

Really don't care about losing this guy. I'll take TKjr/Harrell or TKjr/Mcdowell over this guy all day

I agree I think we add Harrell and Gaulden, and our safety rotation will be great next year.

Randolph/Kelly JR/ Harrell
Mccneil/ Reeves- Maybin

Not sure where Gaulden will fit but he can play Corner, Nickel, or Saftey.

Tennessee was the first team to offer Smith in February but the versatile defender chose Vanderbilt in March. Even though he's currently pledged to be a Commodore he keeps an open channel of communication with Tennessee coaches and was in Knoxville this summer watching younger brother Josh Smith during camp. Tennessee will continue trying all the way to signing day but Smith hasn't shown many signs of switching any time soon.

Read today on VQ that UT will still somewhat still recruit Emmanuel, but he's not as much of a priority as he once was when he committed to Vandy.

You can thank Cortez McDowell for that.
