Iirc Friendship and Watertown are in the same district..Would be a good game to watch, 2 good qb's.
Not anymore FCS is moving to Div. 2 next fall, no more games with Watertown. FCS hung 69 on them last year, Watertown is glad to see them gone.

6'2.5" and 195lbs with his SR season to go. He bleeds Orange and wants to be a VOL. Sign him as an OLB and get it done.

Yeah I don't understand this. They are sitting with one commitment and it looks like this kid has d1 talent....get him in orange!

I think you also have to weigh in on the other players we are in early for and how the staff feels about them. He may be way down the board. Who knows.

Yea you are right but Jobe passed for 233yrds and 2 tds and had 2 pass break ups on defense (1) dropped int. Everybody saw that night who was the better athlete. I saw the film.

This kid is not on Turman's level and he looks to be projected as a DB or WR, two positions where we can be somewhat selective right now. Comparison is bogus.

I understand he plays a different position. The problem I have is when you ask kids to wait that are obvious athletes and could play in the SEC in hopes of landing the bigger fish, it tends to backfire. Especially for us the last few years. We need LB's in a big way and i think this kid could be an OLB. You said DB, I don't see very many DB's who are 6'2.5 and 195lbs as a JR in HS. Under CBJ it seems to me that we will be looking for much smaller DB's(5'8-5'9 and 160/170lbs). Good idea in the SEC? I guess we will find out. His micro corners at UC did not do very well against UT in 2011. I think Jobe could be a very good OLB with about 20lbs. With a year and a half to get there, I like taking him now.

It's all good. He will be a player for somebody. I was told by by one of the coaches that Darin Hinshaw called yesterday and Cincy is close to offering

Maybe you ought to go back and watch that film again without those purple tinted glasses this time. Jobe is a fine player, but they're knocking the doors down to see #3 for FCS these days.

Staff approach is right where it needs to be with this recruit, IMO

Bingo.

Kid plays QB and will not play that at UT. He may be a great athlete but we are in on a lot more great athletes at their actual positions and wouldnt have to teach him something new.

Those who want him just because hes a die hard fan need to stick to NCAA recruiting, hell that doesnt even work on NCAA.

This is exactly the type of player that you get in for a camp in the summer, see the measurables, and then make a judgment call on whether he has a position he can play and attributes needed to be successful. I hope it works out for him, but er'ebody needs to slow down a little bit.

Coached this kid in baseball tournament when he was 14, this is the kind of young man we need to get back to a championship level! Heart+leadership+ability+family=winner

Maybe a walk-on if he doesn't receive scholarships from big conference schools? Don't know the kids situation academically or financially, but CBJ did pull OG Bret Dockery and kicker Andrew Gantz who were both 3star players per 247. Both those guys could easily see playing time here one day.
