Wouldn't expect an offer for him. Hes not a take as a QB and there are waaaay better options at DB on the board.

Grew up with the kid.. Helluva young Man and will succeed wherever he ends up... His Father was my high school coach, so the kid definitely knows football..

With a 40 time in the 4.68 range DB is not the place for him. Possibly a WR? A 3.6 gpa is a nice commodity.

yall have got to stop taking these Fugazi 40 times on recruit pages as gospel.

Please listen to this. Please. He says this for your own good. It will stop you from looking so foolish.

On a side note, I have coached against this kid in basketball. He is a very solid basketball player. However, he does not show elite athleticism on the hardwood. I have never seen him play football though, so I have no idea how good he is on the gridiron.

I've seen this kid play football since he was a freshman. Good kid, but I don't think he can play in the SEC. He's athletic compared to the competition he plays against now, but I don't see him playing QB on the next level at all. And, on defense last year, it was like he wasn't on the field. I don't think they worked with him on defense as much. But, when I saw him his whole team was completely outmatched, that may have something to do with it. Anyway, just my opinion.

Photo by tyus_jobe • Instagram I personally know this kid and his family. His cousin Antron Peebles was on the 98 championship team. He comes from a football family. I was up saturday and the staff really liked this kid(alot) He was 6'2.5 195 with a 33 inch wingspan. The 40 time was from his freshman year, the kid can run! Probably will not play QB in college but i could see this kid playing WR or Safety thats his positions on his 7 on 7 team. He has been invited to the nike camp and just got his rivals/under armour invite in alabama for april. I don't post much but i felt i needed to. THE KID CAN PLAY!

Thanks for sharing. As much as I want talent, I also want talent that want to play for the Vols. Hope he balls out in camps, gets an offer, and then balls out in Neyland Stadium on Saturdays.

33" wingspan? Something off there.

Cousin to a Volunteer letterman qualifies as a Legacy right? :)

Yes i live in mount juliet. Really Ty is zoned for Wilson Central but his dad coaches at Watertown. He is a GREAT kid and knows what it takes to play on the next level. The kid can play and i would say after camps and 7on7 this summer people will know he is real. VFL

"I got to meet the new coaching staff; that was really good," Jobe told InsideTennessee. "I'm really buying what they're doing. I want to come up here and join them soon. They seem like they're turning this program around into the right direction."

"I would commit immediately. I would join the team," he said.

"The basketball game…it was ridiculous. I liked it. It was wild. It was probably the hypest basketball game I've ever been to. The atmosphere was great," he said.

Plans after the Knoxville trip was to see Auburn before checking out Georgia Tech on March 9. He said he will be on The Hill on April 20.

"I will be back for the Orange & White game."

It's hard not to be a fan of this kid. He seems like a good kid. Just not sure he should get an offer yet
