He's benching 385, squatting 500, and runs a 4.4 forty.

So you say he is benching 385lbs and squats 500 at what 15 years old and 170 lbs? Let's just say....I would like to see it.

As someone who tends to lift alot of weights...I can tell you VERY few RBs even in college top a 400pd bench press.

I was just as amazed as you are. I was standing next to him when he did it though.

Maybe you had just got done taking your turn at the bench and were light headed. Maybe it was 2 plates per side and not 4(405). Maybe your vision was blurry. :)

Haha, na man it happened. He got that pretty easily and they wouldn't let him try anything else because they were afraid he would hurt himself.

Not trying to doubt you but that's pretty hard to believe. He would prolly be one of the strongest kids in the world for his size if true!

I would doubt there is 2-3 HS RBs going into an SEC school this year that could compete with that. As big as Cross is..I doubt he is ripping 4 bills. 8 plates is no joke and for a kid at 15 would be just about unheard of unless your 300lbs and playing OT.

I have lifted a few dumbells in my time and have yet to see an athlete that size, control that amount of weight. Actually never have I seen a 170lbs. person lift 500+ lbs. Especially at 15 yrs old...

Yeah, he's not 170. I'm not sure exactly how much he weighs now but I'm 160 and he's a lot bigger than me.

yeah he looks good. i see very possible that he can get 385. i know a guy that got 565 weighing 173lbs in competition so it's possible. Some people are just strong.

I am kinda from the same area as this guy, I would say that the bench press and squat are accurate, but the 40 may be off. It is handtimed and sometimes when a kid is supposed to be fast they have a quick trigger, but it is impressive.

He got the 4.4 at the sparq combine in atlanta last year. I don't think they hand timed it. He was rated the #1 freshman there.
