Chicago (Ill.) Marist junior tight end prospect Nic Weishar (6-foot-5, 215 pounds) was able to pick up his 14th scholarship on Monday night as the Tennessee Volunteers came to Chicago and offered a handful of prospects including Weishar.
"Tennessee was in school on Monday," Weishar said. "They asked me to call them on Monday night. I called them and that's when they offered me a scholarship."
Weishar talked about adding his latest offer from the Vols.
"I know that Tennessee has a ton of tradition and they also play in a great conference in the SEC. We took a family vacation last summer and we actually drove thru the campus at night. We also stopped at the football stadium and it as open so we went in and walked around a bit. It was a really impressive facility and hopefully I'll be able to get back down to see more of the school in person and learn more about the football program."
