Hubbs just said we won't take a 3rd back
Posted via VolNation Mobile
Hubbs usually knows his stuff.
That said, I don't know why we wouldn't take 3 this year because our numbers at RB are really low. To think that we lost 2 of 3 in Dooley's last class, we only took 1 this year, and Lane is a question mark- that doesn't leave much. We need RB's, and it just makes sense to take 3 true RB in addition to any other athletes. Would still love Autry but not sure if that is realistic.
Is Hubbs on the coaching staff?
Seriously, do you guys really think Caleb and his family are just taking a joyride to Knoxville and Nashville this weekend just to have something to do? I'm sure somebody from UT would of told him not to come because they are not signing a third back from this class.
This is a business trip. Caleb is a take if he commits.
They are also bringing a Rivals 4 star recruit with them.
Hubbs said the staff would be too worried about losing one of the guys committed if we took another.. I took what he was saying as kinlaw could be a backup plan down the road if we lose Paulk or Hurd, so they want to keep the relationship.. He said if a guy like Chubb wanted in, we would take him, but it would have to be a big time elite guy like that to take another rb.
Hubbs would usually know, but it's hard for me to believe that.

Is Hubbs quoting a coach or just speculating? Makes no sense.
No disrespect, but what I saw at UT spring practices, you guys could use 4-5 quality RBs.
Couldn't agree more, 4-5 in this class would be fine with me. Neal is a senior this fall, Lane will be a senior in 2014. So when the RB's from this 2014 class are TRUE Freshman, the only RB's ahead of them will be a senior Marlin Lane (if he's still on the team) and RS Sophomore Alden Hill. I'd say 3 should be the absolute minimum we take this class.
