'14 SC RB Caleb Kinlaw

The two RB quote was from Nick Chub. Which I'm thinking if they got Hurd and Chubb they would have been happy. Doesn't matter now.imo

This is what Chubb said:

“Auburn wants one, Tennessee wants two and Georgia wants two running backs,” Chubb said. “If a school gets another running back it is not going to affect how I feel because if I go in and work hard I feel like I will see the field somehow.”

Paulk said we were only taking 2, as well. Maybe after seeing what we currently have in the backfield during spring ball, the staff has decided they need 3 this cycle. If so, I am sure they probably made Paulk aware of the change and why.

For years, we could not land a top RB prospect and now they pour down on us like rain. Love it.

Paulk is a scat back type and if the O is anything like Oregon a lot of guys will get touches in a lot of ways. I don't see 3 RBs being taken as a bad thing for these recruits to see.

I don't think I'd consider Paulk a scat back. He can carry the load in the SEC

Well when I say scat back I know there are preconceived notions but what I meant was more of a spread back as opposed to a pounder. I know he is pretty thick but I see him used differently.

“I’m getting a lot of new interest – from Vanderbilt and Auburn recently,” said the 5-foot-11,188-pound Kinlaw. “Also, Florida, Florida State, Miami and a few others. To be honest, I really don’t know who could be the next to offer – maybe Vanderbilt. I would say Tennessee and North Carolina are recruiting me the hardest.”

“Probably Tennessee,” he said. “They've always had a slight advantage. Especially the way Coach (Butch) Jones has come in – he’s turning the program around.”

“My most recent visit was to North Carolina,” he said. “I really enjoyed the experience. The coaches told me that I would have a chance to play early.”

“I want to get it down to five by the end of May,” Kinlaw said. “Tennessee and North Carolina will definitely make that list. After I narrow it down, I will take all five official visits and decide from there.”

Yeah, but the 2 ahead of them are 2 of the best schools in the south. All 4 NC schools (including State for their engineering) have good academics. Appy State is a great school too. NC has alot of good colleges.

Dude, right or wrong, do not step up to defend other schools on VN. It is an unwritten faux paux. If we have to put you in timeout, that means that you can only log in to a thread with fade route, fujivol and a few others :)

You have been warned :hi:

Jk/sarcasm...maybe :)

wtf is going on?

Shurburtt predicts him to Clemson

didnt Kinlaw release a top 3 of UT, UNC, ASU? and named UT his leader like a week ago.

I think there's a good chance we seal the deal with Kinlaw this Saturday on his visit. He was high on Tennessee with Graham, and has remained high on Tennessee even after Graham's departure. I think we land him, and several others after this Saturday.

Hubbs just said we won't take a 3rd back

The staff may say we won't take a 3rd "back". I would look for them to kind of slide by that while taking a "specialist". (RB/Slot) type guy so they get another option while not causing issues with our (2) current RB commits who may have been told we were just taking (2). I think Truitt takes that spot this weekend.

What happens if Kinlaw shows up with his tips dyed Orange? I say take him.
