South Carolinas up first, and then its Tennessee, said Ford, a four-star prospect whos ranked by 247Sports as the nations No. 194 overall player and No. 17 defensive tackle in the 2014 class. And then Im liking Ohio State, but they havent offered me yet, and Ole Miss.
On Gamecocks
Its the hometown team, basically, he said. Ill have all the support I need, and its where my family could come watch me.
on Tennessee
I really like Tennessee, he said. They told me I probably have a good chance of getting some early playing time, and thats what I want as a freshman going into college.
It was just a really good campus atmosphere. The stadiums real nice, Ford said. (Jones) was the one that offered me. We walked on the field, and he was like, Im just letting you know you have a scholarship here, and we need to develop a good, friendly bond. Call me every once in a while when you get a chance.
On Ole Miss
They just had a pretty good, strong recruiting class, he said. Im really liking them. I think theyre going to probably play a couple good games this year.
When he will decide
I don't want to rush things, Ford said. I want to take my time and actually go through the process and take official visits.
