@ryancallahan247: Four-star ohio de joe henderson (@talent_52) discusses his visit with the #vols this weekend (vip):
tennessee vols impress four-star defensive end joe henderson
anyone with access wanna post the content?
it went great. Everybody that talked highly of tennessee, they actually showed it today, said henderson. i was really impressed with the way the coaches were with answering all the questions and everything, so everything just went great.
theyre one of my top schools right now. Im trying to cut down on my list, as far as schools who i like and who i dont, so im still working on that. But tennessee is really up there.
the 6-foot-4, 225-pound henderson said he liked everything about the vols program, but he was particularly impressed by their dorms and facilities, including neyland stadium and the new anderson training center.
i loved the dorms the size of the dorms the field, the facilities, he said. it was one of the greatest facilities ive seen throughout all my visits. I really enjoyed that. the dorms, theyre huge. It was, like, one of the biggest dorms that ive seen so far. Its, like, apartment-style dorms, and its nice that you have four athletes staying in one dorm, and its actually big enough for the four athletes. Thats what i really liked. I really loved the stadium.
i really like louisville, he said. im still talking with o-state. Theyre talking about shooting me an offer when they get everything with the recruiting process.
ive been planning it with coach elder and coach strip about coming down here, and ive really got a lot of interest in tennessee, henderson said. theyve got a lot of interest in me. I just thought i should give it a shot to come down here. We sat down and had a nice, little talk about a 10-minute talk, 15-minute talk with all the coaches and it was excellent.
Henderson said tennessee is recruiting him to play the leo position a hybrid defensive end/outside linebacker spot in its 4-3 base defense.
they say i fit perfect for the type of defense, with my athleticism, me being as quick as i am with my first step, and i can drop back in coverage, he said. they said i really fit perfect in that type of situation.
im going to try to hold out (on a decision) as long as i can, try to make everything right. I dont want to make no wrong decision out of my choices when i commit.
