Red Bank (N.J.) High offensive tackle Quenton Nelson is putting together a spring visit schedule, and it looks like he will be adding another school to the list.
Nelson, who is 6-foot-5, 280 pounds, received an offer from Tennessee on Tuesday as his total climbs toward 30.
I called coach (Don) Mahoney, the offensive line coach, and he offered me, Nelson said. He told me they were going to be losing four linemen next year because theyre seniors, and they might even lose their left tackle, whos a junior, because he might go to the pros.
Nelson doesnt know much about the Vols, but he is excited to see the campus. He plans on visiting Vanderbilt in the late spring or early summer, and is working in a trip to Knoxville, Tenn., as well.
Coach Mahoney said he really likes me and he would love for me to come visit, Nelson said. Ive seen a picture of the campus and the weight room, and its beautiful. I think when I go out to see Vanderbilt, Ill probably swing by and see Tennessee.
