'14 NC WR DeAndre Thompkins

Since this thread already has so much EE talk, a question. What if a recruit is so intent on being an EE that he's willing to pay for the spring semester himself? Can a recruit do that and still practice with the team? He would be a student, just not on scholly(yet).

Just a guess but they wouldn't be able to participate in team activities in any way

VN needs a rep in UT's compliance office to answer these questions. Freak, please address this issue.

Wait, does Freak come to the rf? Mods, please take this idea to Freak.

Hypothetical scenario that would never happen anyhow. Even 1 semester of college costs a crap ton.

Looking at our prosect list that has dwindled to only a few it's pretty clear we are out of spots.

31 or 32 is our number according to Doug mathews

According to someone I personally spoke with (that would know) 33 or 34 will be the final number. I heard that as late as last Fri.

Interesting.

Did that include grey shirts??

If so both your guy and mathews could be correct

After watching the recieving core this year, I say take as many quality receivers we can!

Did he say where they were interested in Isaiah McKenzie at?

They compared him to Brandon Powell, a utility guy on offense who could play RB and WR. But they didn't say for sure where the staff would want him to play or even if they're going to offer yet.

"Finally, De'Andre Thompkins said he talked to coach Azzanni after the Bill O'Brien to the Texans stuff broke. Right now he's not sure what he's going to do.

If he remains an early enrollee classes begin on Jan. 13 at Penn State. His phone has been ringing a lot and a number of schools have called. He would prefer to early enroll, but isn't sure that's what he wants to do now.

His next move is to talk to his family about what he wants to do. So, we will see what he does from there as he's going to have several options but will have to make a decision within a week on whether or not he's going to be an early enrollee."

I read last night he reaffirmed his commitment to state and he was going to EE. Crazy how quick they change their minds....
