This will be interesting to see exactly which receivers we end up with. Seems like we have our pick of about 6-10 top receivers in the country

Saw this on Twitter. Nothing too earth shattering.. just thought it was interesting.

He is good. He's got some of the best hands in the class. Very good concentration & hand/eye coordination.

If he is really as explosive as they measured at the opening then he should be able to play on the outside. Short receivers with a nice build and good athleticism can play on the outside. Especially in college.

If we take him, that makes about 3,758 slot receivers in this class....

I see between 0 and 2 slots so far. Wharton will start out at slot but could end upon defense. Powell is a slot, but he is the most likely, unfortunately, to decommit---and go to one of the Florida schools. Jackson will be an outside WR and if Creamer plays WR so will he. Who are the other 3,756?

Howard
Young
Carter
Jenkins
Smith
Powell
Wharton
Jackson is mainly a outside WR but could slide inside for a few plays bc he is great route runner. There's 8 slots.

Slots-Jenkins, Howard, and Johnson(you forgot him)

Questions-Smith, Wharton (gonna start out there, not sure if they will stay)

Not probable-Carter, Young (if these 2 see substantial PT we are not a good football team)

Hope he is here-Powell (gonna be a playmaker)

Outside receiver- Jackson (just because he can play there in a pinch does not mean you can count him as a slot)

Don't need as many slots as you think. There will be several on the roster that will be good before its all said and done.I Dont really see Wharton switching. He's a slot guy that will be a huge asset in the return game. And just because Kameel won't play there all the time doesn't mean he is not a slot. I've seen him play. He's only 6'1. He will play inside and out.btw who is Miller?is Carter a jr or sr?if he is a jr this year then you can add him to the slot.

Smith and Wharton won't play outside. And we're screwed if blanc is playing regularly.

Not sure where Smith fits. Many thought he was a reach when he was offered, but I liked his film. I agree about Blanc. Wharton will start out at slot but could end up on defense.

Shouldn't underestimate Blanc. He impressed me with his TD score in the O&W game, and he impressed the coaches throughout spring practice. He could see the field in some plays this year with his kind of speed.
