I honestly think Spurrier would have to be terrible with in-homes. He's like 70 years old and totally over the hill. But his jovial attitude probably doesn't connect with kids anymore... He probably sounds like an old southern salesman off a tape recording, spitting out the same recruiting pitch he's made for 20 years..

Nowadays more than ever, kids see thru the BS, and I could easily see the kid instantly connecting with Butch (who gets it, btw) on the in-home and then followed up by Steve Spurrier and I could just see it being night and day. New School meets Old School, and in this case Old School loses out big time.

In honor of fellow Tennessean and musician Josie Scott, no relation to Darrell, I think I'll go with a Click, Click, BOOM!

I think I'll be busting out my new shirt at the gym tonight

I've got the Georgia version of that shirt. Wearing it now.

My last boom today (unless Adoree announces). I'm going to save some of my booms for Saturdays this Fall after our games.

The thing I like the most about having scott is that it allows the staff to move Hurd to another position if RB doesn't work out.

Video interview with scout:

-Ultimately, he chose UT because of the "people." Had a good vibe with the players, but mostly felt that the coaches would push him best to get the most out of him. He also liked our coaches because they really have a positive outlook on life (suck it old man Spurrier).

- Likes how CBJ's players always put out their best effort for him and wants to play for a coach like that

- Coach G relationship was important. Thinks he is an outgoing guy that will get the most out of him

- When asked what type of player UT fans were getting, he replied, "hungry." Said in everything he will do, he will put max effort.

- To the fans of Knoxville, he said "GBO Baby!", and grinned from ear to ear

Well spoken and humble kid. Going to be a good one

Another example of how hot Tennessee is right now. And its always nice to stick it to Spurrier. With all these bricks I am starting to think Neyland is the new Brickyard. Gentlemen start your engines!!

Spot on. Spurrier is in the waning days of his career. I just can't see him getting fired up to land big time recruits, although he did get Clowney.

Butch is still a young head coach whose career has been on an uptick every year since he started in 2007. No comparison between the sales pitches of the two.
