'14 NC QB Will Grier (UF commit)

False, I started college with a long distance girlfriend. Easily near the top of things I most regret.

I was making the point that no freshman in college, away from home especially, should have a girlfriend when they step foot on campus and the decision to go to say, UT, with a girlfriend is akin to the decision to bend over and let your algebra buddy put a funnel in your anoos and pour zima down it.

OOoo gross, Zima

Oh I agree. I was just comically pointing at my dumb decision to do something that is possibly stupider.

This isn't about us trying to poach a recruit, so please, don't take an answer to my question there. I'm just curious how this kid fits into the offense Roper will bring? Cut was able to work with a mobile QB in Tee, but he generally preferred pro-style qbs. Anyone have an idea on what the student(Roper), prefers and whether or not he might try to get Chump to chase another QB?

Duke's starting Qb ran lots of read option. Grier will be ok in a spread/pro system. iirc Thad Lewis was a dual threat QB.

Roper grew up in the fulmer pro style school. Establish the run, kill them with elite receivers off play action

My only curiosity with Roper is how much of Dukes offense is Cut being a great coordinator and QB coach versus Roper. We will see in spring. Cut's style was athletic linemen and had a system for QB's. For the UF faithful, hopefully Roper picked that up.

I worry about those hires lime when people hire coaches away from Sabin. You don't know how much is Sabin being great DB coach versus someone like Kirby Smart.

Grier runs better than people assume. Also, highly doubt Grier will be starting/playing significant minutes at UF next year unless Driskel gets hurt again.
