Our coaches watched Moseley up close in camp at UT, have studied his game film, watched him play in person and you're going to get worried because of a paragraph written by Woody Wommack after watching a few days of practice at an all star game week? Doesn't make much sense. You trust Woody Wommack over Willie Martinez, Butch Jones and John Jancek?

Moseley needs to add weight and being an EE will help him greatly. Let's also not forget he played most of this season as a QB.

With the ballers our staff is in on, got commitments from, and passed on, they must see real potential in Moseley or they wouldn't have given him a scholarship and let him EE. It's that simple.

We obviously need CBs to EE. Gaulden and Berry cant EE. That leaves Payne and Moseley.

Do you think all of Blair, Thomas and Raulerson will play next year? I dont (Blair yes, Thomas maybe)... but they are all taking EE spots. Creamer isnt super polished, but hes an EE. Henderson and Mixon are both EE, but I doubt both of them (maybe one) see the field next year. Booth wouldve been the only one that couldve been an EE instead of him, but we already have 3 EE WRs, so we wouldnt need him to EE anyways

I think you are just reaching for something to ***** about here. Much ado about nothing. The extra time will do absolutely nothing bad for the team or Moseley. It is a really good thing to get him in. The sooner he gets ready to play, the better. No downside at all.

I'm pretty sure the alternative to not having this kid EE is having one less EE.

Personally, I'm glad to have him on board ASAP. Sure, he's raw at CB, but he has enormous athleticism and could find some niche to contribute or to help push others in practice. This kid could have been a great scout team Nick Marshall for us this past year.

Even if he's on scout team all year as a freshman, he can still help make the team better.

Freaking this. All this wasted EE talk is nonsense. Did none of you see our secondary? OL, DL, and DB should get EE preference.

I've only ever seen Evan say he is playing WR. Is there a reason people keep mentioning him at CB? I realize he projects well there, but he has always said offense. Not being smart, just wondering.

Why wouldn't you want a kid that needs weight on him in the program early? Why wouldn't you want to get a kid with technical flaws in early? I don't understand this logic that he won't help? He's raw but some of you not think he can contribute when Toney and Swafford saw the field.....

I was in no way saying Moseley will never contribute. I just feel he will not play much if at all as a TFR. That is why the EE spot does not make sense to me. Sure it may help him to be better in 2015 or beyond, just not in 2014 IMO. We need RB help, we need DL help, we need OL help quickly. If the coaches still plan to take these positions, it would make more sense to me to take kids who could be EE's and they would be much more likely to benefit from getting to campus early and seeing meaningful snaps next year.

The problem is that not all kids can or are on track to graduate high school early. Sure, there are probably some guys who will be more vital as true freshmen, but not all schools let kids graduate in December. TK JR has said he can't at Webb. The high school I went to allowed it, but counselors discouraged it and it was a hassle. Some kids may have not planned on committing as early as they did and just been drawn I our coaching staff.

The coaches can't exactly just pick out who they want to EE.

What really can keep him off the field? He'll be battling other true freshmen. He'll be a 6'1 180-185lb CB when Fall comes. He'll be coached up for 6-8 months by a great secondary coach. Now why can't he contribute at all again seeing our secondary.

You act like just anyone can be an EE.. This kid took care of business in the classroom so why not let him if he wants to? The coaches obviously see something in him...

First, it's difficult to get an EE seeing how that signing day is right around the corner. 2, I'll go with a coach wanting him to be an EE any day of the week, especially one like Willie Martinez. I bet if he gets some weight on him he would at least contribute on special teams.

At the very least, this kid can be a significant special teamer if he puts on even a little weight. He's willing to be physical in his highlights - he just needs some strength. Anyone who watched our kick coverage units knows we desperately need to fast gunners. He's worth the EE just for this IMO.

Gonna be fun revisiting some of these comments.

I like the prospects of this kid honestly.

Think he can contribute for us.

Cant teach speed and athleticism, but you can teach them how to use it.

He is just looking for something to gripe about IMO.

I mean he even said that Sutton came in a polished corner lol. That's a quick way to discredit your opinion. Give Martinez and the S&C coach Mosely for 6-8 months and he might be a completely new man. I find it very likely that he is in the 2-deep.
