His straight ahead speed is decent but he lacks quickness for sure. Laterally he is not on the level you want a CB to be. And when it comes to tackling .... well it's just plain ugly.

I would go so far as to say that his speed isn't just decent but is actually good.

He is just an awful corner. Maybe things would be different if he had grown up under Martinez and he was taught to value physicality.

I would be shocked if Moseley cracked the line up early. And if he came in and improved i would be shocked a good way.

His hips fly open way early in his back pedal and his technique isnot up to par with other Dbs in this class. He is very raw but he has speed.

When he gets here, if he continues to make strides every practice he can come along like Jonathan wade did.

Glad to see some.speed tho

People need to realize when it comes to his weight he hasn't had a real offseason. He's a track guy too from what my people up there say. Also his technical flaws can be corrected to an extent with work. Cam Sutton was learning the position this past year but really put the work in to get on the field and show out in the offseason before. I hope all these young CBs put in the work because #27 and the gang are terrible.

100% agree. I would like to see him get some offensive reps also. Kid is quick and very shifty.

I thought he actually tackled better earlier in his career than he did this year. He definitely needs to move to nickel though, and even then I'm not sure he gets much PT. You absoultely cant have a corner on an island who has to give a 15 yard cushion just about every play.

I think Gaulden will start somewhere, either at the corner spot opposite Cam or in the nickel. A lot IMO will depend on if guys like Payne and Berry are good enough to win one of the corner spots this coming Fall.

It's been said that Foreman hit the freshman wall, but it should be noted that he has the speed and size to start at corner. If you remember during fall camp they pushed both Foreman and Sutton as hard as possible trying to get them ready to start as freshmen. I would look for Malik to make a push for a starting spot as a 2nd year guy. JMO

Mosely looks to have great speed which makes the fact that Willie Gault ran the 200m in 22.44 in an over 50 meet a couple years ago even more amazing.

Gault ran a 21.80 at age 47.

Any eligibility left?

EM probably wont see the field next year unless theres a catastrophe. But he's a freshman and most freshmen dont play year 1. Ideally anyway. Looking forward to the day freshmen are not counted upon.

Moseley bounced back well. He didn't have great practices on Monday and Tuesday, but he came up with some big plays and wasn't out of position. The Tennessee commit has very good overall speed but sometimes gets caught looking in the backfield or is a bit hesitant. Moseley used his speed to stay with receivers and, while he was playing safety, got to the ball-carrier quickly.

Have talked to a few people that have seen him at practice this week as well. They have said he's extremely raw at corner and very skinny and has had trouble with physical receivers this week as well as being out of position.

His athleticism is pretty obvious from what I've been told, but is still learning how to play defensive back.

He played more safety today and he showed well, as the article states. Was actually told earlier in the week that safety may be a better spot for him this week because of how raw he was at corner and at safety he has a better chance to just read and react.

He will be a CB. He is so raw they just throw him at S. He will be taught early the fundamentals. The good thing about this is that you dont have to break any bad habits.

We need speed, speed, and more speed back there. Speed will compensate a lot for the inexperience next year until they get their feet wet.

They will learn the coverage and fundamentals quickly. It's gonna be trial by fire and may the best man win regardless.

Gonna be interesting to watch and see who comes out on top with all that talent.

Was reading about the Carolina's Shrine bowl on TOS, and this gem popped up. I like this kids speed and size, but, I don't like seeing that he has trouble with physicality

"Game day also provides a chance for players who struggled during the week to right the ship and show their skills are there when it matters most. Tennessee defensive back commit Emmanuel Moseley looked lost at times during the week of practice and struggled to deal with the physicality of his own teammates. Will smaller wide receivers like Samuel or Davidson give him the same problems or will he rebound?"

i remember seeing something similar the other day. but there was more to it. said he looked lost early in the practices. but when it came down to gametime he got the hang of it

It's the main story on TOS right now, so, I was assuming it was pumping the game up. But, I could definitely be wrong...

Of course he is raw right now as a CB, but let Martinez get ahold of him for a year and this guy will change a ton IMO

Things like this makes me really wonder why he is taking an EE spot. Just does not make sense to me. I doubt the kid will see much action as a TFR at UT. Would rather see the coaches use the spot on a kid who WILL make an impact in 2014. JMO
