Sharing a big moment with Volnation

@EMoseley_4: This was one of the biggest calls of my life. Talking to the UT coaches when I got offered and committed.

Recruiting services are too prideful in their ratings to bump him up to a 4-star. Unless, of course, he got an offer from Bama...

My abs look just like that... and if I can ever lose this extra 10 pounds of bodyfat, I'll prove it.

Moseley went 6 of 7 passing for 157 yards and added three rushes for 50 yards to go along with a pass break up on defense in Dudley's 46-7 win over Northern. Next week the Panthers take on Ben L. Smith as the look to stay undefeated.

"The game atmosphere was crazy. I've never been to a game that could get as loud as that," Moseley said. "I've been to a couple of ACC games but the Tennessee game was way different with the fan support."

"I know that going into it I was going to get a lot of attention from the coaches and the fans but I didn't realize I was going to take a boat ride with the head coach," Moseley said. "That was excellent. I had never done something like that before. "It was amazing. Eating breakfast on the boat with the head coaches, the assistant coaches and the wives, that was great."

"Before I left to get back on the road I signed the board at coach Jones' house so now I really feel like family," Moseley said. "That was a great feeling just knowing that they really want you there. It was amazing."

"I really liked how the corners play and today when I sat down with coach Martinez he showed me some things from my film that I could work on and the things I do good," Moseley said. "Then he showed me the tape from yesterday and the things I could help them with and it made me see that I can come in and help them next year."

“it went well. I enjoyed it[.] the highlight of the visit, man, to be honest, was when tennessee was able to come back when they were down[.] i knew they could do it. They just had to have confidence in themselves. They just kept fighting and kept fighting, and they knew they could beat them. The atmosphere was crazy[.] i’ve never been around something like that, with 102,000 in the stadium.”

“they surprised us, because i didn’t know anything about a boat ride,” moseley said. “we ate breakfast on the boat and just rode around the water, and got to talk to the players and coaches.”

“i pretty much spent most of the time with coach martinez, and we kind of went over some film and talked about what i can bring to the team,” moseley said. “they like to be physical with (their cornerbacks). I watched film on them, so i know they’ve got a freshman (cameron sutton) who’s pretty good and knows what he’s doing.”

“pretty much, when we got over there, we sat down with the coaches and their wives, and we talked to the players,” moseley said. “and then, before i left, i went down there to sign the wall. When i signed the wall, it felt like i was a part of the family.”

“i’m all in,” he said.

For you CB experts, how's he stack up to Gaulden? Seems smaller, faster, more finesse. Doesn't truck like Gaulden but seems a little quicker to my untrained eye.

No clue whose technique is better.

I'm no expert, but Gaulden is closer to elite level and Moseley is closer to raw level with great upside with right coaching.

I think it will be difficult to get a good answer out of anyone on the board. The film he has out there on 247 and I believe VQ is from last year's season. He impressed a lot of people over the summer at camps, and he's in the middle of his HS season. I'll keep on the lookout for analyst opinions.

Gaulden is a guy who could play CB, NB, or FS. As he grows into his frame, he could be a monster. Very instinctive, great hips, and a ball hawk. I think he steps in at NB next year and instantly makes our defense better.

Moseley has big time speed and is an elite athlete, but is ridiculously skinny. If you look at his film, he does not play like a 165 pound player though.

How important is skinniness /bulk at CB?

In other leagues you can get away with it. Here you've got stretch plays coming to the corner and 210+ RBs coming to run the CB over. A CB needs to be 175 at least. And he has to be extremely good and aggressive in run support. I'd rather my corners be 185+ personally.

My take on the Gaulden comparison: Gaulden is more SEC ready. Moseley needs some real weight. But he's also an elite athlete. Very very good project. And being tutored by CWM will speed up the learning curve. IMO
