Recruiting is not that easy or so many 4 and 5 stars would not fail. That said speed kills and is hard to coach.

Moseley weighed 150 at some camps this summer. Doubtful he is 180 now since he was recently weighed at 160 and ran a 3.5 40. Butch has already proven they can add good weight and subtract bad weight. At 6' 1' the frame is there. This kid could be a force in the defensive backfield with 20-25 more pounds on that frame.

Welcome aboard young man. This staff as proven that they can evaluate recruits. If the feels the a recruit fits their system then that is all that matters to me. Weatherd and Henderson weren't highly rated but I think these guys are blowing up right now.

Yes, I knew I was missing something recently. It was the constant gloom, despair, and second- guessing that ETN contributes so well to this board.

What we rated second or third now and people ready already wanting to b@tch, and when the quacks hang 50 or 60 on us what then start a thread on how to run coach out of town, just hang in there for 2 more years then we can play some real football with the quacks and washing powder teams and so on we just got to hang in there and keep our head up when the going gets bad.:eek:hmy:

They were talking about star rating on Ainge's show this morning.

From what I remember, this was the comparison between UT's & Oregon's average ratings:

UT's off. avg. - 3.45
Oregon's off. avg. - 3.18

UT's def. avg. - 3.00
Oregon's def. avg. - 3.05

The point? Based on star averages alone, UT's offense is better than Oregon's offense. Let that sink in a bit.

Weren't some of you the same ones who told us to trust Dooley pants every time he got a 2 star? Trust the coaches, they know more???

If this is who they WANTED, that's fine but my only question is why now? Timing seems odd to say the least. 3 or 4 spots left if you include the Berrys and you offer a 2 star?

This would make sense if this was Feb and DJ just told us no. Way to many big fish 5 months away to settle. Even if this is the #1 guy they wanted, it's not like we couldn't flip him anytime we wanted. Wait till Jan to see who wants to come then offer if need be.

Nobody on the outside know why, or why now.

The way I see it we basically have two options.
1. Trust the coaches decisions. It's their jobs on the line, their livelihoods, their families, etc. They absolutely want what's best for the program.
2. Don't trust the coaches, continue to question "why", act like we know everything that they know, and piss & moan about everything.

Cant wait, if they believe the guy is the real deal you cant wait til they blow up. If we waited on weatherd, we dont get weatherd.
