Not trying to 'start' something, but just out of curiosity... as of right now, he's supposed to be an EE; If the coaches are feeling pretty good about Adoree Jackson, do you see them potentially declining Moseley's request to EE (similar to Booth) and possibly reserving his spot "for Jackson" til NSD?
No

He is locked in. He signed his paperwork

He has already signed the financial aid papers which guarantees him a spot.

Right on, missed that. If he hadn't, I could have seen it being a possibility then. I know everyone says, 'it'll work out (attrition, decommits, etc)" but obviously that isn't pre-planned, and if it does not happen, I'm trying to determine how we're going to crunch the numbers.

I think this kid could prove to be a great get for this class. What I'm not quite understanding is why is he an EE? What's the chance a 6'0-160LB DB will see the field as a TFR? I thought the EE spots should ideally be for the kids who will need to play from day 1? Just curious what the thinking here is.

Also Adoree isn't and EE. The Booth situation came about because we're at our limit for EEs and needed to stay under 85 once they're enrolled. Also since he's not an EE, the coaches probably wouldn't cut Moseley loose for a guy they feel good about signing over two months later. That's an eternity in recruiting time.

I get that. Is he not very likely redshirt? I would think if he is, the EE would make more sense used on another kid. JMO

EE are for kids who put in work in HS to set themselves up to graduate early. Has nothin to do with them bring a redshirt candidiate or not. If you have the chance to graduate early, why not take advantage of it? This is a rare situation where we have do many, schools beg for EE's

Talent issue too. As lws said, someone was gonna have to go, and he was first

Ironic avatar. :p

Where is everyone getting the "we can only have 14 EE's" from? The NCAA rules states you can sign unlimited EE's as long as it does not exceed the 85. Am I wrong?

Hey now, by my avatar I'm not insinuating that I'm a know-it-all; rather, I'm suggesting that folks just use their brain a little before posting. Even I have questions :p I'm relatively new to recruiting... started following it last deployment, and I've been hooked ever since.

It's alright man, I also endorse the act of rubbing brain cells together.

He'll play on coverage units out of necessity. We're not redshirting any speed. Our team is entirely too slow as is. Then add the fact he can easily put on 15-20 pounds of muscle in 3 months.

Willie Martinez was in North Carolina Wednesday night checking in on cornerback commitment Emmanuel Moseley who is set to enroll early next month. But, before Moseley enrolls he will have a chance to see his ranking climb as he will play in the North Carolina/South Carolina Shrine Bowl as well as the Offense-Defense Bowl in Orlando in January.
