Close to same height, weight, and speed as Cam Sutton. HS film of the two players very similar.

With the way DBs are playing right now and with our depth and as CWM his primary recruiter, easy to see how they feel he is underrated and has potential.

How are his grades? Would he be an EE?

Translation: Kid is an athlete.

He has speed
He has height.
Plays both sides of the ball and in multiple positions.
His measurables give him an upside due to versatility that his star rating would otherwise disguise.

BOOM!!!!

6'1, 180 kid with 4.35 speed who has only been playing football a few years? He's going to be a great player. Impressed with the staff's talent evaluation abilities.

I thought someone posted in here he had good grades, 3.7 iirc. Idk if he's an EE.

I'll trust coach and his staff on this one. These guys are not are not that far removed from coaching stints at Central Michigan U and Cincinnati. Evaluating and identifying these types of guys were their bread and butter. Coach Jones and his boys coached up a few that made it to the pros that had the same type of profile.

Now watch all the schools in the area start calling. UNC, NC State,VT, Clemson,USCe and so on. That's how it goes after that first big offer goes out and ppl still continue to question.

just a heads up...

i think the reason this kid is a 2* is because he hasnt been evaluated yet. if you look at his rivals profile, it has his length and speed at a 6 and everything else is at a 5. no way this kids speed is a 6 and recovery speed a 5.

Didn't play his sophomore year. If a kid is elite you see it either the freshman or soph year. Then in their Junior year they start getting invited to camps and get evaluated. He missed a crucial year for the recruiting/evaluation process. Luckily, that doesn't mean he lacks talent. Much like POA pointed out, he just hasn't been evaluated yet. I hope he isn't so quick to look at Clemson or Scar when they come calling, like he was for us while he was committed to Charlotte. Hopefully we keep him!

His 247 profile seems to be updated with his most recent measurables. He attended a few camps this summer so they have been able to evaluate him at least on a limited basis. I think the lack of actual game performance, his size(160 lbs not 180 as previously stated) and inexperience is why he is underrated.

Hope he blows up this fall!

Yeh pretty much this. There's no reason to believe this staff would waste a scholly on a scrub. They got off to a fast start and have zero pressure to take anyone they don't believe will ball out in our system.

how do you know he attended camps? also if he attends a schools camp, its not the same as him attending a rivals, 247, nike, etc. camp. The scouting services usually evaluate from film and their own camps, not the school camps.

Correct. I don't believe he has been to any of their camps.

No way that he has a true evaluation yet. Like someone said before, you can tell by where they are rating his speed.

This kid will have more offers by signing day IMO
