Reasons why Tennessee is the best option:

1. FSU has Coach Sal
2. We beat NCST in spite of having Coach Sal
3. OSU is the consumate choke artist and owned by the SEC
4. Maryland...well it's Maryland

The above is true, but OSU is a hot team right now and should have played in the BCS title game last year. Like it or not they have a good football team. Hopefully they make it back again so they can be put back in their place.

That being said, I agree with Ron Swansizzle. We're just another hat on the table for Brock.

They have a great football team for the big ten.

Fyp. OSU and MI will dominate the Big10, and winning is winning. Lets be realistic; the SEC is the best conference, period.. but Ruble isn't making a bad choice if he chooses OSU, just a choice most of you will dislike.

Hopefully Meyer doesn't r u n n o f t when Braxton Miller leaves.. then again, I hope he does :).

^ I'm ok with this. An orange hat with a power T on a table is free publicity and shows he gave us a look. The more recruits see the T the more likely they are to give us a look

Tennessee:*“They also present a opportunity to play early and I really have built a great relationship with (offensive line) coach (Don) Mahoney, and the campus was beautiful as well. “

You sir, are a gentlemen and a scholar.
Lived there myself, most ignorant , we deserve everything and we are the best thing on this planet: well please play a tough schedule and sack up against the real players from down south.

...and OSU would have taken the same beat down ND got handed to them. Media continues to overhype ND and the Big Ten and people like you continue to drink the Koolaid regardless of SEC poundings.

Nevermind that they would have played ND.

On Ruble.

"Ruble has told some that FSU and Tennessee are at the top, but honestly we can't get him on the phone and haven't been able to since he visited here in June."

Someone needs to tell Hubbs to ask the fsu rivals guys if he answers the calls from their area code. Something tells me he does.

"I'm taking my official visit to Florida State this weekend," said the 6-foot-8, 321-pound Ruble. "I'm going down for the game because I've seen the campus before but you hear about the game day atmosphere and Florida State is one of the ones people are usually high about so seeing it in action will be pretty cool. Going down there this time is pretty exciting. It's like my last go around before I make my decision.

"On November 23 I'm heading down to Tennessee for an official visit," he said. "I've been down there before also. It's hard to get all of these schedules because when I don't have a game on a Saturday, the team might be on the road."

"I narrowed down to a top five before the season and I have these visits set and a few others we're trying to plan," Ruble said. "I've been to all of the campus and met all the coaches. I've done all of the first level stuff and I'm using these officials as my last go around to see if I missed anything or if I want to revisit something I really liked and to watch it on game day is that much better."

"There is no order to the top five," he said. "I feel exactly the same about these schools as a few months ago when I made my top five because I haven't been dealing with recruiting during the season. All the coaches have been very respectful about letting me do my thing."

-Rivals

He hopes to decide before NSD.

Is he a take? I don't see how these numbers are going to work out. It's going to be exciting. It's a breath of fresh air.

IMO it depends on how the staff feels about our current OL guys. IF they see one of the FR/SO stepping into a starting role next year at one of the T spots, I would rather we took another HS OL guy in this class(if we are taking another OL). IF they need the immediate help opposite Blair, they hold out for a Juco kid. If the Jucos go elsewhere, fall back to a HS kid.

If Tiny chooses to stick around for his senior year I think taking another HS OL over a JUCO is the way to go. We have Weisman, Sanders, and Kendrick from 2013 that will be So or RS Fr next year and will be in the two deep. That will give these guys in the 2014 class an opportunity to RS and just work on technique and conditioning.
