Just read on 247 that there was a 25-50% chance he might still visit Purdue next weekend. I really hope he doesn't feel the need to after this weekend. Is he still thinking about that, MDO?

I grew 5 inches and gained at least 30lbs between my JR and SR year of HS and another 2-3 inches after HS, and I'm still adding weight :)

I was a very slim 6'- 3" 165lbs when I graduated high school. Ate whatever I wanted. Tried to gain weight but still was a rail. Oh those were the days.

And you're skipping over all the posts listing his age and how many college linebackers were 200 pounds when they were 17. Hell, a lot of defensive ends in college were around 200 pounds at 17. There are literally tons of linebackers in the SEC and NFL that were his size at 17. Did you think they were all 230-245 in high school at 17 years old? No way you're this ignorant about football. Just stop!

Am I happy to argue this point? No, i'm glad he's VFL (even though he's considering visiting Purdue...) and hope he turns into an all-american while at UT but the odds are against him. Sure, it may come across a little douche'ish but that's not my intention.

Let's not forget what started this pissing match... I said (after seeing the photo below) "Looks small... no way he plays a down at UT as a LB. Looks like a WR" and somehow that was interpreted that I think he's POS MF'ing MF'er. Overreact much?

HAVE YOU SEEN THIS PHOTO? Kid looks tiny (for a SEC LB)... that's not opinion, it's a FACT. I was not hating on the kid... just making an observation... then MDO (who's either his pops or some creepy vol fan) got his feelings hurt and "owned" me. lol. Then the vol-mob started jumping on his sack and the rest is history. Sooo hate to layeth the smack down but you guys were asking for it. I don't like having to do this, but sometimes it's necessary to humble people every now and again.

still ignoring the facts i see.

a ton of SEC LBs start out at his size. he is a year younger than the rest of the kids in his class. you seem to think that outside LBs have to be 240+ to succeed in the SEC, when our MLB who will be a senior is 243. and one of VNs favorites, JRM is only 210. not many LBs come out of HS at 240+. the kid will gain weight

At this point I just want someone who can contain the edge and hit someone. You don't have to be huge to do either of those things, just have to be athletic and have a good football IQ. Let's just see what this kid can do after a year at UT in our program. He's got the raw talent to be a good OLB if he wants to be. I'm tired of opening this thread just to read the pissing contest between you guys.

Couple things.

1. He has more offers than you listed. If you're gonna throw facts, figure out what you're talking about.

2. Are you really this stupid still? HE WILL GET BIGGER. I know it is crazy for you to understand that, but try and stick with the concept.

3. Tommy Thigpen and Butch Jones think he is a LB. So, you're dumb azz isn't smarter than them.

4. You should really learn to humble yourself

Read where Dews said on his visit that he had not been told he will not be part of the '14 class. Not sure how valid that is.
