NEED.

If there's a Speedy playing in the SEC and he's not on the Vols I'm going to be pissed.

In his highlights he is very quick. I'm no expert but I'd say he probably has around 4.4 speed, but good quick movements and good acceleration. JMO.

4.5 ain't no record.

A legit 4.5 is flying. People get too enamored with stories of guys running 4.4 or 4.3. I've seen legit 4.5 guys and they can go. Especially if this kid has quicks and a little wiggle.

4.5 is much faster than any of us volnationers run, but that aint fast if your name is speedy and trying to play in the SEC

you sure?

1. No he's not sure. Dumb post by him...

As you know, lots of SEC caliber guys aren't the fastest, but are awesome because they simply make plays. Straight line speed isn't the most important thing in football.

I wan't a play maker, not a guy that will just run a fast 40 in the combine after they leave TN. (now if they can do both, that's even better)

2. Who's the girl in your avi?

If it's a legit 4.5 then that is very fast. All of these 4.3s and 4.4s you see are not laser times and are almost always inflated. Just look at last years combine results for proof. And it's also completely different once the pads go on (aka football speed). Some people can fly without them on but aren't the same with them (Heyward-Bay) and others carry them like a feather (Dez Bryant). It just depends on the player. Just give me the football player over the workout warrior or track star any day. Preaching to the choir I'm sure.

Unless he has a 40" verticle there are better ones out there. Cool name but kid is short for a reciever

4.5 is pretty fast out of high school. I think people get too caught up in the 40 time. Kendall Wright ran a 4.61 at the combine, Morris Claiborne a 4.5, and I think Joe Haden ran a 4.56. All of those were first round picks in the last 3 years. I think Kaepernick ran a 4.53- that is fast for a QB, but he looks much faster than that.

Stedman Bailey
Ryan Broyles
Jordan Shipley
Freddie Barnes
Jeremy Maclin
Mario Maningham

Have all been Belitinikof award finalists or winners since 2006 and are all 6' or less and have less than a 40" inch vertical. Height and vertical jump is far from everything with a WR. You either need height or need to be quick and elusive which this guy is. His highlights are very impressive in open space
