Maybe. Never seems to stop the usual suspects from getting a high percentage of the kids they want. Uniforms are what you sell when you can't compete in other areas.

There's no maybe about it.. Most kids care about uniforms, but there r some other things like winning, proximity, tradition, support that trump uniforms and living in the cold, desolate, rainy upper northwest.

Agreed. Just pointing out the uniform impotance argument is well overinflated.

Yeah, they do. That's everyone's point. It's a recruiting tool, but saying they do it because they don't have anything else is just ridiculous. They've been a staple in the BCS for the past 4 years now. They have everything to sell, fresh unis is just another tool for them.

Oregon has averaged 10 wins, won 5 PAC-10/12 titles and played in 5 BCS bowls over the last 13 years. These kids were 3-4 yrs old when Oregon "got" good so yes they've always been good in their lifetime. I'd wet my pants if we could average 10 wins a year and win a SEC title every other year. So many still won't accept that non-traditional winning programs (i.e. pre 1950's) have passed us.

Why do you think they started the uni's well before 4 years ago? And why haven't teams like UGA, UF, UT and Bama followed suit? You sell uni's when you are struggling to keep up otherwise.

If Oregon had been in the SEC, that would look a lot different. Not saying they haven't passed us, but only having to worry about USC and most recently Stanford has benefited them greatly.

UGA and UF have both used different unis at times. All the kids loved UGA's black unis. But I stated the unis because it was Oregon not to start a uni debate. Other schools have new unis that don't compare to Oregon. IMO

No lsu. Interesting. You'd think with their DB success and the amount of prospects at Curtis this year that they'd be all over the school.
