Running Back
New Orleans, LA
HT: 6'0
WT:215
Class of 2014
UT has offered but it already appears to be a 2 team race with UA and LSU. Definitely the top RB in next year's class.
EDIT: Could someone help me put the links of his rivals &247 profiles and the highlights of him. Thanks.
Doesn't Alabama already have basically two backs for next year wrapped up? This guy isn't one of them is he?
They have BS already committed for next year. Another guy Racean "Rock" Thomas. He has visited once and likes Graham but I don't think UT is really in it with him. And LF seems to be favoring Bama ATP. I think they are going to try and make BS a WR.
Expect LSU - Bama battle, I haven't heard any interest in UT but you never know.
LSU right now has no intention of signing a RB for the 2013 class as far as I know but I have heard a possible greyshirt for Taylor. I would expect LSU to sign or want to sign 2-3 RBs for the 2014 as Blue, Ware and Ford will be gone.
Fournette is the best all around RB that I have seen coming from La. in a long time.
In regards to depth and competition neither will be a factor in his decision in my opinion. He will see the field no matter where he ends up as a true freshman. He is that good and he has stated neither will be an issue.
For the most part Les plays the best players unless your name is Jefferson... lol. He will still have to compete IF he comes to LSU and will have to compete to get carries with Hillard, Hill, and Magee. However, the one good thing about LSU is you get carries if you can play.
LSU has no problem playing 2/3-star RBs over 5-star RBs... so whatever his rating he needs to come in an compete or to me he can take all stars somewhere else.
St. Augustine junior running back Leonard Fournette blazing hot on the recruiting trail - NOLA.com
Good article for those interested.
Not to bad for a junior to already have over 100 offers. Some LSu fans are concerned because his new HC is B Sylve(UA player) father. Not sure what happened in the past with Miles but they feel he pushed Sylve to UA. I have not seen anything to say he is pushing LF to UA but it atleast has got to help UA to get a foot in the door there.![]()
I agree LSU the team to beat but makes no sense on LSU not taking a RB because LF has stated depth is not an issue.
It makes a statement. They already have 4 RBs. They're making a spot especially for him. That came straight from a friend of mine who's a huge LSU fan. How often do you see a recruiting clad without an RB? Hardly ever.
Leonard Fournette (#5 Running Back) : Junior Highlights 2012 - YouTube
Junior film. I think most would agree the top RB recruit to come out La. Still have UT listed as a potential landing spot but are going to have to work hard to get him.
