'14 LA ATH Darrel Williams

I'm torn on who I would like for us to get at RB. Wish we would or could find a way to take both. I think Williams would be great to have to wear out opposing defenses. We truly would have great stable of running backs. Something that has eluded UT in recent years.

I'm sure he will be a great back, but I would much prefer to keep this class fully intact (especially Hendrix, in which I am ok losing Thomas), add Scott and hope for the grand slam with Adoree. Have 2-3 greyshirts and Robertson as a blueshirt (if that's still a real option) to make the numbers work, and be dancing in the streets on NSD when all of the LOIs are in.

Fort said coaches prefer Williams over Scott awhile back but will take whoever commits first.

That is risky IMO. I would wait to see what Scott does Monday before I took Williams commitment. It could very well be Monday before Williams and his family discuss everything and make a decision. With the way he jumped all over the lsu offer, I think he would be a prime candidate to flip last minute back to the state school.

When I think of the possibilities of this rb class ( I know it's too soon) but I can't help to think of Travis Stephens, Travis Henry, and Jamal Lewis. Getting me all jacked up, without the Mountain Dew!

can anyone confirm Dews in that photo? There are some on this thread saying they are not sure he made the trip?

Agree. Don't lose Scott. I don't trust Williams either. He (and his father) turned from a Tiger hater to a proud commit in what appeared to be about 12 minutes.

Apparently his parents are real intrigued by our facilities and coaches. Gotta like our chances here too.

Any update on Williams?

He hasn't taken calls. I think the Scott decision is the first domino to fall and depending on what happens there will factor in what happens with Williams and maybe Jeff Jones.

Could someone post the 247 article posted about Williams on the LSU site

LSU/247-Shea Dixon

Running back Darrel Williams wanted to check in on Tennessee before NSD, but has reaffirmed his pledge to the LSU staff and appears set to sign with the Tigers as part of a two-running back class.
