Lol I guess CBJ is making it a practice to steal players from ASU every year. He would be a huge pick up and add to the stable of RB's we are trying to build. Hurd, Williams, and Berry( hoping the give Evan a shot at RB with his speed) would be a nice 3 headed monster in the future.

Other than the fact that going to UT is all-around a better option (playing time/distance/etc), do we really have a chance here?

"Most people wonder if he'll stick with that ASU commitment as his recruitment has started to gain some steam with his senior season.

We'll try and catch up with him tonight and see what he says about the offer and if he'll give Tennessee a look."

He definitely fights for yards. Love it! Question is, would you sacrifice a DT spot for him? I would….My idea finish would be DT (Insert DT - Reed or Mosley), Malone, and RB

Looking at his offer list. No offers from Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, L.S.U., or Texas A&M. Hmmmm. Why is that? These schools know a good back when they see one.

2 things jump out:
1) his school runs a similar scheme as us, so he wouldn't have too much of a learning curve
2) His offer list is pretty good, hope we can flip him. I would take almost any back that UGA offers with their recent track record

I think he's having a big senior season and is now starting to get more looks and interest from some of the big SEC programs.

I see you failed to mention the offers from UGA, UF, Wisconsin, Virginia Tech, etc who also know a good back when they see one.

Williams is currently leading the NO area in rushing with 1,677 yards & 20 TDs on 160 carries (10.5 ypc).

Williams runs behind a poor offensive line at Ehret, yet he manages to put up stellar numbers. He is a bruiser with good feet and speed. Received offers from several schools including: Houston, Indiana, Florida, Louisiana Tech, Georgia, UL-Lafayette, Tulane and Mississippi State, before committing to Arizona State in August 2013. Currently ranks No. 18 for the class of 2014 per James Smith.

The Marrero product accounted for more than 2,300 all-purpose yards depite splitting time at quarterback, safety and linebacker last season during a difficult winless campaign for the Patriots. He is a punishing runner who can run inside or bounce it outside. He possesses good hands, blocking ability and the effort to gain yardage following contact.

FWIW, Williams has a gigantic teammate, DT/OT Adrian Flagg, who has recorded 14 sacks this season and is currently uncommitted. He does not have a recruiting profile anywhere that I could find.

No offense to his HS teammates or coaches, but I'm surprised this kid hasn't decided to transfer to a more successful HS program.

He's putting up great stats with what sounds like an awful team. He could have gotten more exposure and recognition with an 8-2 team that makes a run in the playoffs versus an 0-10 team.

Just interesting to me. Their are different dynamics to every situation.
