'14 KY QB Drew Barker

some of those kids on scholarship are just on temporary scholarship. CBJ gave the walk ons leftover schollies for the spring

2013 Class...

"We can and WILL take 25"!! "Maybe 26 or 27"!! "The coaches will take as many as possible"!!

Or maybe they will take 21.

Funny how "What we can take" never seems to play out that way.

BJ is exactly right. We can only sign 24 as of right now. It will take seven spots to open up if we are to sign a class of 31.

I've never been to a game there, but it is a place I want to go see a game at. Personally, I think Clemson is an awesome college town. I imagine they have an equally impressive game day atmosphere. Dabo is doing a good job there, honestly (that didn't hurt to say as bad as I thought it would ha).

They have the most raucous fans that I have ever seen, bar none. They are crazy!

Omg we can sign 31. That's been confirmed. 6 scholarship players from last signing class are no longer on the roster and the early enrollees help

I have done the math to confirm how many spots we have this year, but I have decided to keep that information to myself and treat myself to some soft-serve ice cream

I have no idea why this is so complicated year after year. We are able to sign 31 in this class. However, in order to do that, there has to be the necessary attrition to keep us at the the 85 limit. There will be no issues with that imo, just a matter of us actually getting 31 commits.

Reading this guy's comments about his trip to Tennessee makes me think we have a really good shot with this kid. The only team I see standing in our way of him is Kentucky for some reason.

Given the back and forth here I'd say the move to the soft serve was a good call.

Lol. I was at last years game. Clemson was dominated. It was ugly. Congratulations. I will assure you however that Clemson is improving every year. Even if they weren't I love the town, school and game day atmosphere.

Regardless of the argument, until you can upgrade your avi to the level of DarthVisor, I have to side with her (avi). Sorry Crookruss :)

All I read is blah blah blah as I am mesmerized, even on my iphone :)

You should have said "treat myself to ice cream at Baskin-Robbins" subliminal # message there :)

No I am not.

We will have to have attrition of seven players for us to sign and enroll 31.

Attrition happens every year at every school. We already have the possibilities of Eric Gordon and Marlin Lane not being back after this spring, unfortunately. It seems for us our attrition is always some of our starters, whereas others' attrition is guys who will never see the field and choose to transfer.

Gentlemen, I'm not saying that it doesn't happen it obviously does at every program. Just telling you where we are at with the numbers.

barker, a u.s. Army all-american bowl selection, is the no. 7 pro-style quarterback prospect in the class according to 247composite. The 6-foot-4, 210-pounder looks destined to play in the sec east as kentucky, south carolina and to a certain extent tennessee are battling for his services with a decision likely just around the corner. Most believe it will come down to heading to columbia to play for steve spurrier or staying closer home at playing for mark stoops in lexington.

The 247sports crystal ball is somewhat torn here south carolina 71 percent, kentucky 29 percent
