'14 JUCO WR Eric Lauderdale (previous UT commit)

Lauderdale is still being recruited by UT. You folks might want to hold off on the negative comments towards him.

Kameel Jackson likely ends up elsewhere, Lauderdale would be a nice replacement. Malone is a take regardless.

Don't see us taking Malone and Lauderdale. Maybe if Malone picks UGA, we push for Lauderdale to come back in January.

If a poster is in 10or more threads stating that ALL of them are takes should that poster be considered credible??

Lauderdale and Pearson are two different types of WR anyways right?

I think that they're very similar. Very good ball skills, and especially after the catch.

I would take Lauderdale/Pearson over Jackson/Pearson. I don't know why we haven't heard anything on Jackson yet. I expect it soon.

Hubbs said this yesterday about Jackson...

I think there is a discipline reason that he's not playing at Blinn, but Jackson won't say that and the Blinn head coach doesn't return our calls and he's no fan of Tennessee's. I'm going to be a bit surprised if Tennessee ends up signing him.

And Fortenberry said his coach isn't a fan of UT right now because of how we came in after spring ball and took J. Johnson.

So he has the option of being happy for his kid or being selfish and he chose selfish. Know your role JUCO coach.

Stealing a juco kid after 1 year is a sure fire way to burn a bridge. I don't blame the juco coach here

If they're eligible after the first year I don't see the issue. As long as we treat his kids well I don't know why he would hold a grudge.

Lauderdale absolutley should be a take. Some are worried about the # of JUCO's, but they should consider that we'll have well over 1/3rd of our scholarships invested in this class, and having more JUCOs will spread the scholarships out more evenly in the coming years. Not to mention, the # of starters we're losing this year dictates that we can't turn down experienced JUCOs, certainly not one as talented as Lauderdale.

If we could get Lauderdale and Malone, along with the recruits we already have, we'd be set up fantastic at WR for the next 3 years.

While I'd love to see both of them sign with UT, I have a feeling that they're still heavily recruiting Lauderdale because they are hoping they can land one between him and Malone. Either way, that would make a great WR class.

I get that the JUCO coach wants to keep his job too. HOWEVER, a part of his job is trying to develop kids for D1 level and to otherwise be successful in life. He is a JUCO coach, his job isn't in peril because they loose a kid to D1 (enhances it is anything). He should have been happy for him.

The point of a JUCO is to develop players for D1 and win while also realizing that you will only have players for a VERY short period of time. The coach is forgetting his place in the system if he is upset that we took a guy after one year. I am sure he is always happy when a guy transfers from a D1 school to his program for a year. Double standard. That is beyond dumb.
