'14 JUCO WR Eric Lauderdale (previous UT commit)

- 247

UF's side and UT's side (according to the GV247 guys) seem to be corroborating.

He came out this afternoon and said he will pick from Miami, Washington, Arizona State, and Florida.

This guy wasn't even on the Gators radar so I wonder if he reached out first?

Guys, what's our chances of getting him to re-commit? I think he's a potential game changer on offense for us next year if we can get him. Also is there any correlation between Lauderdale and Malone? Maybe he knows something.

Um, no I think he saw North and PIG Saturday and said I want none of that.

I think Josh Malone had something to do with it too. I saw some where on Twitter that one of the recruiting experts from 247 said that Lauderdale was baffled to see that we were still recruiting receivers. (I think it was Rucker).

I'd like to point out that Lauderdale decommitted just days before Malone 's visit for the UGA game. I think he heard that Malone would be on campus and decided to back out.

Really. When you tweet that to one, all can see it. That garbage does not help at all. Wouldn't surprise me that it might be another SEC teams fan that wants to make us look bad.But if it is someone that is a Vols fan, that is one Vols fan we do not need.

This is what everyone thinks; "probably a rival trying to make us look bad". Very few go through the trouble of creating fake twitters are masking their real one to do this. We have so many dumb, rednecks in our fanbase, only bested by AL (maybe), that it's very likely one of our "own".

You think he was scared off by pig? They don't even play the same WR position...Pig is a slot. If he was scared off by anyone I'd say it was Malone.

"Florida, Washington, Miami, Arizona State and some others stayed on me while I was committed to Tennessee," Lauderdale said. "I just decided that I wanted to open things up and take a look around. I'm still looking at Tennessee, but I'm starting to shy away from them a little. Nebraska and Wisconsin are calling on me too, but I'm not sure about visiting them."

"I might take all five of my visits but I may not have time," he said. "I know I'm going to take at least three of them. I know I won't be making a new decision until January at the earliest.

UCLA and Oregon are also showing serious interest. Lauderdale may very well have cooled on us because we continued to recruit several other WRs, but I given Pearson's significant spike in interest in UT and vice versa, I'm going to say that UT decided to go a different direction. It was probably mutual.

Don't think we liked that he couldn't be an EE anymore but we still wanted him. However when you see a guy like Pearson you recruit him regardless of how it effects your other commits. I really like launderdale as a player but if you make me choose I take Pearson all day if can't have both

Wasn't he supposed to be an EE? Obviously now he's not and Pearson is. Maybe him not being an EE caused the staff to move in a different direction. Being an EE is huge for a JUCO that is expected to contribute immediately.
