'14 JUCO WR Eric Lauderdale (previous UT commit)

I'm not too salty about his one. Look at the big picture. We're not losing any WRs and we have some talented guys on campus. Also some others on the way. Let him go to UF where they really sling that ball around lol

Nice 1000th post of the thread!

I think he is concerned about getting into the rotation and wants to look around a bit. I dont mind he wants to look as I always think these kids need to look our for themselves first.

As a Juco and with the way these freshman are starting to play do you really see Pig or North not starting the next 2 years. That means everyone else is competing for 1 slot that Croom and Smith have a lot of experience at.

He lost me when he said dreams do come true and so was hard for gator and soft for us. Move on.

This is exactly how I see it and his reasoning I think clearly indicates that's how he see's it too. I mean it could be he didn't like the new uniforms but my first inclination is to recognize that's he's scared he may have very limited touches for some period of time. If he was here this year he'd probably be starting. He needs to find a place that next year will be like where we were when we started this year. That would be his best opportunity to ball out. I wish him the best of luck but if he goes to FL I hope he's smart enough to line up on the opposite side of the field from Sutton when they play us.

Do you think Gaulden will be a better situation?

Naw, not really. I only see our secondary getting better year in and year out for the next 4 years. Same with linebackers. Now if we can get some more help on the DL we're set for a hell of a defense and that is a prerequisite on that side of the ball for a run at the championship.

From the tweets last night, we have kids dying to get to Knoxville and play for our school. We don't need dudes on the fence. If you're not with us, you're against us.

Next.

I absolutely agree. Im just saying he's going to face some excellent athletes in Neyland next year if he signs with Florida. I wish him the best but he's replaceable.

I personally wasn't as high on this kid as some other people. Reason I haven't really been active in this thread. We'll be fine at WR without him. And I don't want to replace him with Berrios either.....

I mean...if there is one position where we can afford to lose a commitment from then I guess it is WR.

I would have decommitted if I was him too, I don't think he would have had a shot at UT to be the go to guy like he wants to be

He probably sees us sitting a 4* WR (Paul Harris), that's fast and 6'4"...who was also an EE (had more time to get up to speed than North or Josh Smith), and doesn't want to get the same treatment. Can't blame him. I thought sure this staff would be itching to use all the size they got at WR. Guess not. They like the smallish guys, instead...guys who keep dropping passes, and such (Josh Smith)

Harris was injured through almost all of spring camp.

Don't let the door hit you in the a$$ on the way out

Stay classy, Wu.

I hate to see him go, but this one doesn't hurt as bad as losing someone at a definite position of need. Would he start and be an impact player for us in his 2 years on the team? We may never know.

Dropping passes? Yeah he dropped a few early in the season but did you even watch the game Saturday? He came up clutch when we needed him.
