'14 JUCO WR Eric Lauderdale (previous UT commit)

Normally when a kid decommits I don't believe they ever will be back on commit list. However, I think UT still has a shot here. EL commited earlier than he should have and now wants to take visits to be sure he made right decision.

So...more peanut butter?

Do you all think we need to go ahead and scoop up Cory Thomas with the open spot?

I'm on board for getting him. Still room for Berrys, Malone, Garrett(a shot at him) Hendrix, Blair, Barnett, McDowdell. I'm forgetting two off the topnof my head.
Paulk will be in next year, so that opens a spot, right? Kameel I don't think will make it in, so we could definitely take all those guys and we might not get Garrett, Blair, or McDowdell. Of course we might not get a few of them but the room is there to get some Ballers and take Thomas.

Still holding out hope for Daryl Rollins.

With Evan Berry planning on playing WR, Malone a real possibility, and the addition of Williams(difference maker) very early to the 2015 class, The staff may decide to not continue to recruit a Juco kid who decommits and wants to look around.

IMO the only thing this hurts is our current class ranking. Losing a top Juco player stings, but in this case I think we are ok.

Pig. Soph
North. Fresh
Croom. Fresh
Smith. Fresh

Wharton. Creamer. Berry. Hopefully Malone

Also helm and wolf as rec threats

Then future recruiting.

Says on his twitter that its the best scenario for him and his family to back away from Tennessee.

I hope we didn't tell Ford and the DE from Oregon (whose name is escaping me) that we didn't have room b/c of some of the WRs that have decommitted.

"I think he feels like as they keep bringing receivers in he wonders how many they will take. (But, at the same time if he's going to say he's taking visits Tennessee has to have options)."

-Fortenberry

Did the UF offer change everything?

"I don't think it was that as much as now he has more options closer to home in Atlanta than he did when he was offered by Tennessee back in the summer."

And that the only response Vol fans should give him. Unfollow him and that's it

Agree = let's not bash the guy. It's still possible that he becomes a Vol. Regardless, showing class as a fanbase can only help with recruiting.

We don't lose any WRs next year. We'll have Pig, North, Smith, and Croom as our top-4 WRs next year and all will be back in 2015. With Creamer, Wharton, and Booth already committed, and likely just one WR spot remaining for Malone, this isn't devastating. Plus, Lauderdale was not an EE.

Humphreys. I don't think they were takes regardless.

Humphreys - thanks. Not sure why I had a brain fart on that. I agree it didn't appear they were takes, but that could have been due to limited spots given the number of WRs (something that's opening up now). :hi:
