'14 JUCO WR Eric Lauderdale (previous UT commit)

The whole "crystal ball" thing is going to become a joke. The analysts are going to make 10+ predictions before NSD simply based on each interview a player gives.

JMO. There should be a rule where the analysts can only change their prediction once.

It serves a good purpose rather than the ole "things look good for TN" approach. Obviously nothing is ever 100% in recruiting and people need to take the crystal ball with that view.
I agree with you that some "experts" take advantage of it to boost their accuracy ratings. It would be nice if there were a 2 prediction limit unless there is a drastic change of events forcing a reset of all predictions.

Taking a unofficial to Tennessee around next week 😌

I'll take Booth and lauderdal now, thx. We can still keep recruiting Malone.

Wharton, Truitt, and Berry are all athletes that could be on either side of the ball.

This guy is a beast. I personally want him as one of our WRs in this class more than anyone else. If we land him and Booth I'll be ecstatic. He's a day one impact player IMO. Take Lauderdale, Kameel, and Booth and call it a day at WR unless Malone wants to jump on board

I don't want to go digging through the whole thread.. But does anyone know how many years he will have left to play??

"I'm kind of open right now," he said. "But, right, now I do like Tennessee. I like Arizona State and Tennessee. Those are the ones I like more than the others. I'm not going to say that's where I want to go. They are just the ones I like right now

We're looking at JuCo lineman and lb's because there's a need.
Play makers there's a need. E.L. is a playmaker.
If we can bring him into the Volnation, Do it!!

Says he doesn't have a leader in his recruitment right now. Our tweeters need to jump all over him (not in a bad way).

"I'm looking forward to checking things out," Lauderdale said. "I heard the campus was nice. I'm ready to meet coach Butch (Jones). I've just spoken to him over the phone. Just hang out with the players and get a feel for everything."

Wide receivers coach Zach Azzanni is in charge of landing Lauderdale, but it's Butch Jones who continues to impress the pass-catcher.

"He loves Tennessee," Lauderdale said. "He loves the organization and he just is so hyped up every time I talk to him. He has told me I'm going to love the facilities and I'm sure I will. "He's real cool. I can call him for anything. He face-timed me and he was asking me about my shoe collection. He likes the Miami Heat, but I don't like them. I give him a hard time about them."

"They are up there," Lauderdale said. "I do like them a lot. They have a lot to offer with early playing time. They don't have many scholarship receivers. They need more asap. They've told me I'll have an opportunity if I come in and work hard. Right now, I'm open to everyone, but Tennessee is impressive."

"I was hoping to enroll in Janaury, but that's changed," Lauderdale said. "Some things happened with online classes and that messed up my plan. It's OK though. I have no complaints."

On Eric no longer being an EE and whether that hurts his stock...

I don't think it will, because they feel like they have pressing needs at receiver and Lauderdale is very, very good. Now, if somehow spots fill up then I could see it becoming a problem. Right now, I don't.
