Contra Costa LB*Edward Muldrow III*-*Muldrow III has offers from Arizona State,*West Virginia, Tennessee, Kansas and*Utah State*and has gotten quite a bit of interest fromWashington,*USC*and*Oregon*as well as a few others. He's a versatile prospect, able to play inside or outside, and that has gotten the attention of several schools.*

South Carolina bio: Edward Muldrow Profile - South Carolina Official Athletic Site

FWIW, Muldrow was arrested in Nov. '10 for drug possession, expired tag & suspended driver's license. I don't know what the outcome of the drug possession charge was, but he was allowed to enroll at SC where he redshirted in 2011. He was arrested again last July for underage drinking.

Sounds like a typical Urban Meyer Gator....surprised he doesn't have a Buckeye offer

I kid hope this kid can wake up and straighten up his life.

In all fairness, i bet almost all of the players on our team right now have either smoked weed or drank underage, one or the other, or both. This kid was just unlucky enough to get caught.

hell I smoked a joint walking to my seats at Adelphia stadium going to watch dolphins play titans in 2003 . and every time I went to a concert and a few basketball games at TBA we would hit a joint lay it down the next person reach and grab it and toke it till it was gone. quit smoking 8 years back for good unless they make it legal before I die .

not unlucky enough, dumb enough

I mean these kids go to college with UT Adidas gear all over them thats personalized just for them. They stand out on campus and people notice them, and a lot of people want to be around them. How would you like it if 20,000 plus students and millions of fans watched or heard about your every move. Do you think there's not the smallest thing you might slip up on and it get blown out of proportion? I agree it's plain dumb to do drugs and, yes weed is a drug, but 18 year old kids with freedom make mistakes. Everyone just wants to fit in. That's human nature. There's not one person on the Earth that's not done something really dumb in their lifetime just to be part of the crowd, it's just most of us aren't under the microscope of so many people everyday for it to get blown out of proportion. That's just part of it, and as a student athlete you must live and learn.

I've tried to stay on the sidelines, but this just keeps going on so here my :twocents:.

Did you notice his first arrest wasn't just for pot but also for driving with a suspended license and expired tags? That's not bad luck, that's just dumb. Does it mean he can't learn from it and get some maturity? No, of course he can but then a year later he gets busted again. Maybe the third times the charm but I'm not getting to hyped up to land him.

As for myself I was speaking of the general teens who get caught under age drinking etc, but there are those select few that do more then just have a beer at 18. I'm in total agreence with your stance on this, but this isn't the norm for most these kids who get in trouble.

Totally agree with the general sentiment, I was commenting on this particular instance. Frankly, I don't see why 18 isn't the legal age. If you are old enough to move out, to vote, and to serve than you should be able to be served, IMO.
