'14 JUCO DT Davonte Lambert (Auburn Commit 12/18/13)

Is Lambert not an EE??? Thought he was and is listed as an EE on one of the sticky threads.

Also, isn't there a JUCO signing day for EE's? Is that a thing or did I dream that up? Seems like we missed some kids this time last year we thought were ours and they flipped at the last second.

Yes.

EE sign on the dec 18th.

That's why I don't think financial aid papers can be signed by jucos

Dec 18 I believe

I don't know why they couldn't sign FA papers. Why would a JUCO student be denied that option?

This says hs kids. Perhaps there is more but I think jucos can't sign anything until the 18th

The NCAA recently stated that a prospective student-athlete (PSA) who was on track to graduate early from high school could sign a financial-aid agreement as long as the participating college establishes that the PSA is enrolled in all coursework necessary to graduate high school at the midyear point (but they don’t have to graduate early if they opt not to do so at that time).

Honestly though, does it really matter. If Auburn wants to contact him, they are going to contact him.

It doesn't make much difference because there are only 2 days of the dead period before signing day.

I just wonder where tux got his info lambert signed when everything I can find says only hs kids can sign

I haven't seen any updates from mods and there is very little chatter about Lambert on Aub boards. Auburn has 19 committed and most likely limited to 25 unless a couple of players declare early, i.e., Mason and Robinson. AU appears to be focusing on Prestwood, Evans, McMillan, Rudolph, AWilliams, and DRussell.

Apparently he is still solidly committed to UT but Auburn is still after him hardcore and some of those involved with his recruitment are concerned them being in the NC game might make it interesting. I am more nervous about this one than any other upcoming announcement so far. He is an immediate impact player we need and from what I understand Auburn is still very much in the game unfortunately.

Is this a "we didn't want him anyway" post? You're silly.

lol good lord people. I wasn't trying to punk our Auburn friend or be mean to him. His post clearly has a little "we didn't want him anyway" to it. Sensitive bunch this morning on VN. I think Head1 was right, we need another commitment!

What's weird is 247 is only site pumping this auburn talk. Yet all the other auburn sites don't even mention it. Sounds like 247 just trying to make things interesting to stir up boards

Agree. Rivals and Scout only reported that Garner was doing an in-home visit before SECCG with little enthusiasm about the success. Don't get me wrong, I think Auburn would take him in a minute, but he appears solid Vol even with his teammate committed to AU.

Agreed. I would love to be a fly on the wall in bammer land when or if it happens. Genocide, self flagellation, dog kicking, wife beating, mattress burning, tree killing, you name it.

After that apocalypse, they would rationalize that Kirby Smart is as good or better than Saban.

You'll get your wish if it happens. Updykes would be stupid enough to film it all.
