'14 JUCO DT Davonte Lambert (Auburn Commit 12/18/13)

Good Lord….we act like there is something we can do. Our staff….specifically Thig knows how to to go head to head with the big boys. At the very least everybody knows we've pulled out all the stops. It has been a while since UT has the moxie to win these battles.

Who's said there's something we can do? All we can do is sit back and hope the young man is solid, but I see no harm coming from UT fans speculating about his status. Lambert had to know questions would be raised when he took such a late season visit to Auburn. Let's put aside speculation that Auburn coaches still have his ear for the moment. There's no doubt he took the visit. It happenned. A late season visit to a more successful team raises flags. I have no doubt our staff is on top of the situation, but I also have no doubt Auburn is using their current good fortune to try and sway him. I hope our guys win, but hope and certainty are two different things.

Or you're irritated because you have a problem backing up what you say and want to take your limitations out on me. At least that's how I take it. Especially when you desperately cling to a comment not referenced to you instead of staying on topic. It has nothing to do with being an asshat. I was disagreeing with you at first, you escalated it. Now your mad because it's obvious you don't know what you are talking about. Probably should stick with a 'Go Vols' from now on and stay in your lane when it comes to these types of discussions.

So you're an expert? Do you get paid for your info? I'm just curious why you're so certain your opinion is correct. Is it because Lambert says he's 100% Vol? As I recall, Santos and Peters were all-Vol until they weren't. Truth isn't truth until it's backed by action. When it comes time to sign the loi, truth will be revealed. And that's the case with every one of our commits. The difference is our other commits haven't said or done anything to make us question. Lambert did. I find it hard to believe he can't understand that taking a late season visit to Auburn wouldn't bring up questions.

As for being irritated, I ain't mad bro. Guess we'll have to agree to disagree on how much influence a mb has on a recruit.

"Jones will also see defensive lineman Davonte Lambert later in the week, who's made it clear to Volquest that he's solid to Tennessee."

Dang it - late to the party again. Everybody is already passed out on the floor. Must have been some good shat. Carry on.

Watching Gabe Wright (Auburn's defense sucks but Wright is a bright spot) and Timmy Jernigan play such good football over the weekend hasn't helped my confidence meter.

You're in the link. Read the recruiting cycles of Jalen Ramsey or Christian Morris. Or read countless posts from Jason Croom's mother, Mz. Terry about recruits watching what fanbases say on sports Internet forums about them. About as clear as it gets whether you want to acknowledge it or not.
Nonsense. Mz Terry needs to grow up if it bothers her.

If you believe that's a factor, go on a bama or AU site and spam horrible things about recruits. But you won't because it's a non-issue.

On the other hand, retards who go and tweet recruits begging them to come to their school, grow up.

I'm all for free speech. People are free to discuss anything they would like to discuss as far as I'm concerned. I'm all for kids taking visits until the paper is signed as well.

Neither one of those fellas was ever committed to UT, and we never had a chance in Hades for Jernigan.
