Not to say that it wouldn't be great to get them, but some of our SEC competitors sign an equal or better group of defensive linemen on a regular basis. Getting a group like you mention is the minimum necessary to compete with the Florida's and Alabama's of the world.

How are you gauging who has or is getting a better group of D-linemen when none of these guys have played a down of D-1 college ball yet? If UT was to score the D-linemen being mentioned that would put us on par with Florida and Bama moving forward.

I don't think he is doubting the ability of these players moving forward. I believe he is pointing out that they have similar players already on their teams and are still pulling in top d-linemen. The concern here is depth at this position. We are building and other teams like Florida and Bama are simply adding to already great squads.
