'14 JUCO DT Davonte Lambert (Auburn Commit 12/18/13)

Some dont understand the concept of redshirting and development. DT is a grown man position in the SEC. Let the guy mature before being "disappointed".

Exactly..Thats why DT cant be expected to come in and play as FR or if they do cant be expected to dominate. That is definitely a grownass mans position.

Tennessee DTs in 2014
Clark rs-SR ★★
Carson rs-JR ★★
Saulsberry rs-JR ★★★
Carr SO ★★★★
O'Brien rs-SO ★★★★

Florida DTs in 2014
Darious Cummings SR ★★★★
Leon Orr rs-SR ★★★★
Joey Ivey SO ★★★★
Khairi Clark FR ★★★★

Which one would you pick if you wanted to play now?

On Danny O, when I subscribed to VQ, I recall Hubbs implying once in the Spring on a podcast or on the message board that we shouldn't have too high of expectations for him. Sounded like he wasn't developing at quite the rate many expected based on his rating. But I later recall Stripling in an interview saying something about fixing the way he used his hands and leverage and that seemed to be improving his performance.

Guess we'll have to wait and see what we hear from Danny O this fall. But I think so far, he's been a mild disappointment.
Idk what they said, but he's doing something right. He's the only DT on the 2-deep that's not a Sr/RS Sr

Lambert's an EE, no reason to think he couldn't be a day 1 starter.

Yep and he knows it. It's the reason he listened to UT's coaches about UGA's depth thus he eliminated them. He knows he only has two years to make a name for himself, can't wait.

You saying we used what some would cAll a little negative recruiting here??

I consider negative recruiting stating untrue/unproven facts to persuade a recruit to look else where. Like saying UT can't put DT in the NFL so don't go there. Totally untrue. To state to a recruit that a team has huge depth at a certain spot then bring evidence to prove it is not negative recruiting, it's just smart business.

Agreed but many on here don't.

Exactly! If he was in this class, some would have him penciled in as a starter. They seem to forget about recruits after their class is here and fall in love with a new recruit.
This is how it's suppose to work, get them in and develop. This is a whole new level!

You've got a bad habit for unnecessitated bumping. If there's news, there will be a post, but bumping for no apparent reason other than its too far down the page is like posting in the Hot Recruiting News thread with something other than an actual commit.

Because it was about to go down one spot on the home page, though there is no relevant news or discussion it needs to be readily visible for people to look at old news because they cant scroll down, I learned it from Wilson27

I think the coaches are gonna base who the y take off what Carr can do. Car is what 6-6 285lbs? I think the probably want him to be around the 295-300 range next year. Obrian will be the nose tackle with Carr or Saulsberry next too him. They are looking for a second nose tackle it seems. I think that's Mosley. I realize he can play guard too but we have enough guards committed already.
