'14 JUCO DT Davonte Lambert (Auburn Commit 12/18/13)

Paul Fortenberry says it is UT/UF and UF was his dream school growing up but was really suprised by his trip to UT. Doesn't know what he is going to do.

Sounds like CBJ has us on equal footing with UF in the eyes of many recruits, which is where we should be.

The only things that worry me is him announcing shortly after his Auburn visit, his good friend and teammate committed to Auburn on the visit.

Anytime Auburn is involved right before a player announces, and Garner is recruiting them, I'm worried

I think it's a Tennessee/Florida race. I don't believe he's made a decision, yet. Vols are still battling here with the Gators. It will be interesting to see what happens.

I stopped worrying about Auburn when people who have access to more inside information than any of us posted that it is a UT/UF race.

Which is true, and I understand that. But, he wasn't even really mentioning Auburn the last couple months. He went on a visit with his friend from his team, and his teammate commited while there. He leaves campus and says he is ready to commit and announces a date and says Rodney Garner is like a father figure to him.

Anytime Garner is involved and a kid announces his commitment decision right after leaving campus, it's worrisome. Everyone else is going based on his previous comments, but they've all stated they were shocked he was announcing so early

From the mod on Florida's pay site...

I think Florida is in a good spot for him

That's usually like Hubbs saying the same thing, my guess would be Florida, but hopefully that opens a spot for Elam, cause I think he's a stud

Good thing is even Lambert is saying he doesnt know so its just pure speculation and hopefully he sees what this class is bringing in and has the chsnce of being part of something special and getting us back.

UT mods and Florida mods are saying it's a UT/UF race

Auburn mods are calling him to Auburn...That worries me

I'm with ya. I used to live very close to AU. Man it really sucks.

I couldnt live there but they have a beautiful campus, has that small town, country feel and some of the most beautiful women you will ever see. My girlfriend is an AU fan so we go to a few UT games and a few AU games a yr. I hate AU but do enjoy going down for games. Im dragging her ass up for the UT/AU game. We are due to beat them. Its been forever since we have beaten them, but its time this yr.

"I think I know where I want to go, but I got to talk to my family and grandma," he explained. "This isn't about myself, it's about making my family happy as well. That's why I took my mom and my grandma on my visits. I just want to know what school they are most interested in and where they can see me playing, where do they think they can see me play."

Distance to mom is pretty close. Knoxville is 320 miles from Waynesboro, GA vs 300 miles from Gainesville.

Did his family visit UT, too? Did his mother and grandmother like UT? I think that might be the deciding factor.

Either way, I've gotten a UF vibe for a while. He talks to Muschamp a lot, and he really likes Muschamp. But, I really hope I'm wrong and over-analyzing the situation.

I'd like to know how anyone could really like Muschamp.
