'14 JUCO DT Davonte Lambert (Auburn Commit 12/18/13)

I think Auburn is in this more that most think. Never count Garner out.

Especially when Garner's been the one building the relationship he had at UGA. Just looking from the outside it sure does seem like a lot of AU stars aligning.

Yep. AU will be competing for the SEC west again before you know it

Checked a couple of the Auburn sites to get a feel for what they're hearing. On both sites I checked, the mods are picking UF.

This is all news to me. I knew UF was a leader after his visit, but had sorta written him off after the past few weeks.

"It will be*Auburn,*Florida, or*Tennessee," Lambert told Scout. "Georgia*is out of it. It will be one of those three schools."

"Tennessee showed me everything when I went up there. I really got a lot of love there. They treated me a little differently in a good way.

In just over two weeks, Lambert will announce that he is a Tiger, Gator, or Volunteer. When asked if he already knew the school, Lambert said, "Not quite."

From the mod on Florida's pay site...

I think Florida is in a good spot for him

That's usually like Hubbs saying the same thing, my guess would be Florida, but hopefully that opens a spot for Elam, cause I think he's a stud

Auburn guys also never think they could lose a recruit to Tennessee. I wouldn't be surprised if they just don't think he is going to Auburn so they default to UF.

Why would they? Who was the last player to pick us when it was down to us and Auburn? Seems like they're batting a thousand over the past 5+ years.

If Lambert did pull a fast one and don the orange, what would that mean for Akeem Judd? Is he solid Ole Miss, or do you think he'd want to go with his teammate for instant PT?

Cortez McDowell a couple weeks ago.

Hopefully the start of reversing that trend. I've just come to expect AU to win those battles, it's crazy how many players they've cost us. Even going back to the early 2000's when we were winning 10 games a year, they were taking guys we needed and making it look easy. Flipped both Cadilac Williams and Ronnie Brown from us just before we rolled onto their schedule. Countless others. We gotta start winning some of those.

Unless Judd is going to pull a pretty shady move, I think he is all Ole Miss. His twitter seems to say he is firm in his commitment.

Maybe that starts by beating them this fall. We have an awful historical record against Auburn. Might not hurt to turn that around a little bit.

Gabe Wright hurt a lot of feelings around here
