I really hope so. Apparently Auburn folks on rivals think it's either UF or UT. Lambert might be the most important recruit this class if we end up signing him. He's an EE and at the most important position of need for 2014. It's really shocking that 2-3 high quality DT's aren't jumping at the chance to be Vols this class. Hopefully, Lambert is our guy.

Whether Lambert is a Vol or not, I think our concerns at the DT position will ease by the end of August. :good!:

This.. It's amazing how we keep coming in second place the last 6 to 8 years on high quality DT's. This is the year to jump on board if you want playing time in the SEC

My UF guys just told me he thinks Lambert picks Tenn.

He said when UF got Khaki Clark the other day that might have knocked Lambert out of their plans.

Just relaying info from the UF side. He usually knows what he is talking about.

I'm not sure on Lambert right now. It's apparently gone quiet around him after talking to a few people last night. I would think Auburn because of how he talked after that visit, but he's loved everywhere he's been.

Mosley told me last week he wants to take some official visits before doing anything but I plan to catch up with him soon for a story.

I think he goes to uf. But I also think we get Mosley and Elam. All my thinking in regard to strips comment about how he's altering his scheme from smaller faster dts to larger ones.

Which is why I also think we don't take humphreys and Poona. Think our dt haul ends up being Mosley, Elam, and c Williams.

However I could be wrong and if we get lambert and the numbers permit we would still take those other 3. If we get lambert then I think out of those 3 I mentioned, Elam is most likely to not be a part of this class. I do feel tho that we have a better shot at Elam than anyone else just based on how he's talked about ut before and after his offer.

Edit: totally forgot about Barnett who I think we land. Jeez this class is so muddled with options now. Will make an interesting signing day for sure.

That's not why were taking Humphreys? He's the same size as Barnett now. Hes 6'3 270lbs now. He could easily be 6'3 290lbs in the next 1-1.5yrs.

I think we offered Elam, because the coaches got bad news from Lambert. JMO TIFWIW.

I think the talk of "the coaches decided we needed bigger DTs" was just a slick way of saying we have missed on some guys and have to try and go after some other options. The coaches had to come up with something to explain not offering the kid. Still think he goes to UK.
