'14 JUCO DT Davonte Lambert (Auburn Commit 12/18/13)

Met the dude last night and got to chat with him for a quite some time. Says he loves Knoxville and likes that he can contribute early, but he would't come out and say he favored us or anything. Even when B Mo asked him where hes looking he simply stated "at everybody."
Hopefully we impress with the tour of our facilities and stadium. Most of the team were hanging where we were at at and he def looked like he could step in and play now.

Good info hamer. Thanks for the update.

So is @DaLamb89 (DaVonte Lambert) the big star im hosting tomorrow? Volnation already know i dont let em leave without joining us

Looks like Byron Moore is not gonna let him leave without a commit!

I think when we look back, we will see that guys like Byron Moore and Corey Miller's biggest contributions were not just on the field. These guys bleed orange and want to see us back on top.

Great work by both of those guys.

And what sucks is that when we are 4-6/5-6 going into Senior Night our stadium will only be half full. These kids deserve Better than that. Everything that has happened isn't their fault. Look at Miller; recruited by a coach he never played for, had two head coaches after that fiasco, and had four different position coaches.

Morbid.

This. I don't think we appreciate the guys that have been here the last 5 years with all they have put up with. It's not like they haven't given their all.

Getting Lambert is a must.

Unless we don't...no absolutes in recruiting....the big bodies gravitate toward programs that are established...that takes wins...skill players (running backs, wr's, qb's et al) have the ego flair factor, that makes for easier recruiting...they feel their playmaking can win games and will take chances on resurgent schools...the pile movers on offense and defense, who do the actual work need the whole to be sturdy...before they join up...so if this year's Vols show the x's and o's are arrows up...the BIG UGLIES will commit...hate this but "Build it and they will come"...mercy shot to head...no funeral

We need this young man. He'd be an immediate difference maker in an area where we lack depth and experience.

But for those of you who are wondering, yes, coaches can host official visitors at their homes. Pearl situation involved unofficial visitor.
