So with Fort and Hubbs saying the focus is on DL and RB to finish the class and Heurtelou's down the board, I wonder who the other JUCO DT they end up going after? They did say recently new names will pop up soon. They must want to get better than McDowdell, Heurtelou and others we've heard about already.

Said this yesterday and this adds credibility to it.


Reed finally opened up a spot for Big Charles and we are done with juco DTs

Where does the staff turn their focus to now?

I think the ship has sailed with Garrett. Obviously they will stay after Adoree and Charles Mosley.

After that they need a running back and more junior college and high school defensive line help.

Jihad Ward was mentioned as above him on the board, iirc. Could be misremembering (tm Roger Clemens).

No, I'm pretty sure Ward was down the board even further but things change and maybe Ward is back in play. I know that would make LebanonVol happy. I would like to see Ward a Vol too, he's got a great combo of speed and size. He's just raw as he was a WR in HS I believe.

My take is that Mixon counts as one of the JUCOs, and Williams was another. I look at Mixon as being somebody who they could count as both a HS kid or a 5 for 4 JUCO. That left one spot for either Reed or Mosley. They know they got Mosley so Reed took up the Bama offer. That’s why Reed’s commitment sorta came out of the blue.

Any news of the staff visiting him this last week before singing day??

I assume no visits means he is indeed not a take for us.

Mosley was actually a Vol for quite a while, so this theory doesn’t work at all.

If he is the backup to Lambert, and hasn't been contacted recently, then I feel pretty good about Lambert.

If we can take 35, we have two spots. It seems as if we want a RB, OT, and/or Adoree.

See, I'm not nearly as sold on the extra RB as most are. We would take Scott or Scarbrough if we could get them, but I doubt we're going to reach in this class if we don't get one of those two. Take Paulk, RS him, and save the spot for next year. Take one more solid OT and then go all-in on Adoree.

VQ has said its an elite RB or we are saving the spot
